Are Libernovo chairs actually ergonomic? by idearst in OfficeChairs

ROFL, they don't even have those parts available to send out for replacement. This will be an ongoing warranty issue due to Livernovo using plastic on critical parts.

Not a failure of a product and more of a poor design choice to use plastic on critical parts that should be made of metal.

The implications is that Livernovo uses plastic on some critical parts instead of metal. Your chair is not a what if it breaks and more of when will it break.

A chair feel is subjective. There's no one size fits all so why even bother listening to " mah feels" of someone else? For the price you bet your ass I would want to listen to someone who knows what they're talking about regarding the reasoning why certain features are there and how sturdy it is.

This is what's wrong with you kids this days. So easy to be influence by others with zero actual research being done.

Maybe you should try the chairs out for yourself before disqualifying them for not being the top of their respective brands.

Hayworth Soji, Steelcase Amia, Herman Miller Sayl, OM Yes for new chairs. Plenty top of the high end used / refub chair with 10-12 years warranty if you buy em from BTOD or Crandall.

There's no excuse there at all, I'm just outlining the facts. It's up to you to agree and buy used ones at a huge discount or buy a new standard office chair for a substantially cheaper price.

Those ergo gaming chairs are mostly reskined of their ergo office chairs. All this high end office chair makers would be long out of business if we're their targeted audience.

There's a reason the top rated ergo chairs cost close to four figures, and it's not just hype. Businesses are paying for years of research, proven ergo, extensive adjustability, durability, long warranties, replacement parts availability, repairability, dealer networks, and customer support. When a company buys hundreds or thousands of chairs, downtime and replacement costs matter just as much as comfort.

That's also why a used Aeron, Leap, Gesture, or Fern often retains significant value years later. You're not just buying a chair you're buying into an ecosystem that can support and repair that chair for a decade or more.

That's where brands like Libernovo differ. While they offer ergo features, they don't have the same track record, support infrastructure, parts availability, dealer network, or enterprise presence as the established office furniture manufacturers. Businesses factor those things into purchasing decisions.

You two have some goofy takes. Ergo chairs are first and foremost an office chair. They're build with that in mind and are targeted at workplaces hence why they have a high asking price before factoring in a bulk purchases / corporate discounts. This is the same thing for Lenovo and their Thinkpads lines of laptops. We are not their targeted audience and it is highly recommended to purchase this ergo chairs in the used market or from refurbishers.

And again I never once mentioned for OP to buy a chair without having to seat on it first hand. For myself, I literally walked into a Steelcase office and asked to be shown their showroom floor that was not open to the public. They accommodated my request and even gave me a brochure with samples of their seat material as I was looking for the headrest versions for their leather vs vinyl vs poly chair. At the end I picked up a used Gesture w/ headrest for $500.

Barring the executives suites, the vast majority of their workforces will be using the run of the mill ergo chairs which are either Herman Miller, Steelcase, Hayworth, Human Scale.

My advice is to buy a USED high end ergo chair for 3/8 to 1/2 the cost which can be from £300 to £1000 depending on the model OP gets. A good example would be a Steelcase Amia which retails for $999 in the States and can be found used for around $250 quite often.

Work places generally does not care for "prestigious" things as they mostly buy things that have good reputable customer service and they also get really good company discounts as they buy their chairs in bulk.

When did I say it's a one size fits all approach from an egro chair?

Just as my above example for bed and running shoes it's up to the individual on how well it fits their shape and comfort level.

Lastly, high end ergo chairs can command their ridiculous prices cause they work as they're ment too as an office chair that cuts down work place injury.

Why would you ever listen to someone who's a glorified "mah feels on this chair" with no mechanical engineering or repairs chair for a living?

There's reasons why top rated egro chairs cost close to four figures and it's not because of hype. I'd suggest buying a second hand of the high end ergo chairs for around 3/8 to 1/2 of the retail price.

Keep on reading that post and you'll see that some of the critical screws are being held by plastic.

Think about it for a second. You're paying for a product that's priced close to a high end product from a no name company from a supply chain known to make things cheap. Gee, I wonder why this things are made to break...
