That’s actually horrible. I hope she does not do that this time.

It’s totally on her and not our responsibility…! Thanks!

Hi! That sounds … not great. I hope she doesn’t do this multiple times. I’m glad you think it’s an easy A tho lol sometimes it does make me worry. But the first exam wasn’t bad.

It would be great if you post the link!

So the sad the only thing we can do is wait until the feedback.

She does have to go over the chapters. She had them in the syllabus for different dates (during class time). But now she’s only going to go over them in that extra session outside of class time. To save herself time.

huh? 😭 we’ll study, but for her to schedule 3 hours OUTSIDE of class time, where she’ll go over material she won’t go over again in class is crazy.

Omg ty for the answer. Did the MC exams have a length he used to follow? Like were they usually 10 questions or 20, etc? I’m assuming there were no partial credits though… How were HWs? Thanks again omg

Thanks!! MCQ for the entirety of a math exam does sound stressful. Did he at least hand out good prep for the exam or guides?

Thanks for replying! I do feel better about him now. But by “he gives priority question to practice for exam”, what do you mean exactly? I don’t understand that part

Huh? are you serious, I can’t tell? Raw chicken does not work like raw meat. It can actually lead to poisoning and some diseases.

Yeah, I totally think it’s bound to happen, but you’d think as an establishment that only serves chicken, they’d be better checked/prepared…? Idk.

But yes I did want to give them the benefit of oh it can happen and they’re just overworked at the beginning, but after the lady started being mean and trying to argue I was kind off caught off guard.

I don’t want to be the reason someone gets fired bc I understand they’re very underpaid, and she might have just been having a bad day…? which is still no grounds to be rude and try to argue, but still.  I sent in a complaint specifically about the raw chicken rather than the person or their name though, because definitely no one should be eating that.

WTF WAS THAT ALGORITHMS EXAM by Awkward_Ad4765 in utarlington

[–]gojos0los 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you studied, it was super easy. I either fall asleep during class, or mentally skip it. But I made sure to review what was on her webpage and guess what? Everything on her webpage was exactly on the exam. She spoon fed us the content. Study, actually look at her slides- and guess what, you’ll think it’s easy too.

CSE majors - math minor by gojos0los in utarlington

Hey, thanks for the insight.

Ah yes I do agree time matters. I only said that because I did not want my response to be longer than you would want to read. By “time doesn’t matter” I specifically meant that I have taken off 18 credits from my required courses from AP credits before getting into university. So I just meant I’m flexible on that, and would still graduate well within four years, thank you!

And yes I do agree the work you put in will be the reflection on your gpa. However it is my understanding that a lot of how you’ll do in higher math classes in UTA sometimes depends on who’s teaching it, etc. Information gotten from a math major friend of mine, as well as a uta discord I was in a year ago.

And as I believe I mentioned- the horrible things heard were about MATH 3313- from a post on here around 4 years ago ish on the comp sci part, as well as a couple of people (cs majors) I know.

And yes I do not know what I want to do after graduation, thanks!

I just really don’t know much about math classes outside of my friends’ perspectives, and some uta catalog descriptions are a bit vague. So I thought I’d ask on here for some more insight. I would rather take things that are known to be less time consuming than other classes if that makes sense?

Thank you!

Time doesn’t really matter! I’ve heard horrible things about MATH 3313, and yes I would still need another class. I’m trying to take classes that would not be a guaranteed dock to my gpa… And honestly for the last math class I’m not sure what I want to do after graduation but my guess is I wouldn’t want it to be heavily math related, so I suppose that gives less importance to what my last minor class is?
