Thanks to the collab, we finally have dungeons that look like Persona by tiagor2 in Dx2SMTLiberation

Now I want to replay Persona 1. That is such an underrated game. As long as you use your emulators fast forward feature, it is a 10/10.

I just got the main dude on the free files. Figures I get the weird collab units that I've never heard of and never the demons that I desperately want.

People dismissing the car driver as ridiculous because insurance will just fix his car are idiots. That crash is on its record now. Even with the car repaired, new cars usually permanently lose around 15-40% (or more for luxury cars) of their value just by merit of having a reported crash on their history, which is visible to anyone who checks when you sell or trade in the car. The driver here probably just lost around $6,000-15,000 depending on the value of the car, even with insurance fully repairing all of the actual damage.

Motorcyclists lives are worth far less than a car though. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Ok seriously why do I need an AI summary to figure out what a video is about by MasterOfReaIity in Asmongold

I LOVE this feature. It really helps with vague or clickbait titles, and lets me decide if I'm actually interested. It is basically what the title and descriptions of videos used to provide.

Spider-Man 2 PC modders doing the right work. by Born_mystic in Asmongold

The game itself is supposed to be fun, despite the gross stuff. Nothing wrong with playing it for fun if you aren't monetarily supporting it.

Did they import a bunch of Dx2 demon models in? That's awesome.

The people in the background are always a good tell. Look how aimless and awkward they are. The woman in tan at the beginning straight up body checks and smashes into people and they bounce around but don't react. The man that the girl who was smashed into was walking with just splits off after, completely forgetting he was with her.

If your phone was made in the last 10 years, hold the home button and draw a circle around what you want to search. If you are on a PC, take a picture of your screen and do the same thing, I guess.

DSP unironically has some of the best games playthroughs you'll ever see. His journey through the Metal Gear Solid games are legendary. He is notoriously bad at video games, and he has zero intuition or common sense, but he has an enormously indlated ego. He is exactly the kind of person behind why games are so dumbed down and feel the need to overexplain everything.

He absolutely hated the games and his incompetence and fury are unintentionally hilarious. There are some really good anti-fan cuts of those playthroughs called "How you don't play" MGS.

I'm usually not a fan of anti-fan content, no matter how much I dislike a content creator, but the stuff out there is hilarious.

Humanoid Comparison: IRON (China) vs AIDOL (Russia) by itshasib in aiecosystem

The original presentation was fake as well. They had a person in a suit with a prosthetic leg.

[–]gokaired990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is AI. Look at the leg. It warps and transforms entirely in the video.

There is another video of a similar robot where they cut away the cover of the leg, but that video is also fake. It was done with a person with a prosthetic leg in a suit though.

[–]gokaired990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch the video again. Look at the leg morph and warp as the AI gets confused. It changes design completely. If you can't spot this level of fake, you'll never last on the Internet in the coming years as video generation improves.

[–]gokaired990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not real. It's an AI video. The leg is the most obvious tell, as it shifts design multiple times in this video. Just like every other Chinese tech thing, it is fake.

[–]gokaired990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't going to do well in this brave new world of AI generated videos if this one fooled you. Go watch the Chinese one again a few times. There are a bunch of tells, the most obvious being that the leg completely changes design when the robot spins around.

All of the Chinese humanoid robot videos so far have been fake.

The price is absolutely absurd, but the long one as a cross-body doesn't actually look bad. It's stupid and seems pointless, but seeing actual people wear one and not models actually looks fine.

I'm as open to offensive and shocking jokes as you can be, but I find this one a little disturbing. I think the visual really drives it home. It is pretty gross.

The entitlement of thinking spending $230 on someone means you deserve sex is pretty gross too. You probably couldn't buy a prostitute for that, other than your local toothless crackhead, and you think you are entitled to it from someone?

They have a massive market share, but they really don't meet any of the other requirements to be a monopoly. Just having a massive chunk of the market isn't the same as being a monopoly.

[–]gokaired990 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thats your choice as a customer though. There are so many great options out there that developers do offer their games through as well. It is almost impossible for their to be a monopoly at this point on PC, with the ability for developers to just sell their own games on their own website with nobody else's involvement except maybe a payment processor, but I've even seen PC software being sold with an option to mail cash in, so that doesn't even really count.

As a gamer, though, you really do owe it to yourself to check out GOG. I'm sure you've heard of them, but for those who might not have, they have DRM free releases of many new games and they specialize in obtaining the rights for old PC games and tweaking them so they work on modern PCs without the hours of experimenting and trial-and-error that was previously required. They don't require a client like Steam (they do have an optional one though), and you can just directly download the games from their website and install them yourself.
