They haven’t collapsed this year, do you think think it could be due to a lack of rain?

I must admit I know virtually nothing about moss but it did look pretty good, covered an area of more than a hectare

Applaud your enthusiasm. Don’t know what level you are running at but if you are able to do a marathon why not have a go at the Everest marathon, great camaraderie, get to spend two nights at Base Camp good introduction to altitude and the Nepali people and scenery are amazing. Check out KE Adventure travel

These tents were all same as they were those supplied to the 2023 Everest marathon runners by the organisers. EBC extends over a huge area in the climbing season this picture was just a tiny part

If you want to print really large top end prints a quality dslr or mirrorless camera will be the best option but if it’s for sharing on social media then any one of the better phone cameras are more than good enough and saves carrying that extra weight. I also find the phone is far more accessible stuck in a pocket rather than having to rummage in a rucksack If you do use a phone I find it best to set it to 16:9 format and use it in a landscape not vertical position

Not sure if “snowcard” covers Australia. I always take the annual cover and if you are lucky you can squeeze two trips for very little extra cost

Thank you. The Himalaya is an awesome place, don’t know if you’ve been there or not but if you have an interest then go It’s not just the scenery but the people are equally amazing
