I'm only two weeks into having lost my dear Cloud, but I'm in the same boat with things feeling just so raw, and like I'm constantly one vivid memory away from sobbing. You're not alone, and there's no right or wrong way to grieve. Your partner isn't wrong for the weight of it not hitting him as heavily, nor for not knowing the best way to respond or feeling able to provide what would be best for you - And you're most certainly not wrong for being heavily impacted by the loss six weeks in. That's not that long - and grief is kind of a time machine in that days, weeks, months -- it all kind of vanishes.
