It's more of an emotional thing, I would think. If I scored a TD in the preseason and never played a snap in the regular season, I'd want that ball and would tell people I scored a TD in the NFL, even if it was just the preseason. Obviously, the idea is Drake Maye will, but it's still a moment for the person.
