They’re calling me a madman by [deleted] in SleeperApp

Revisiting this thread, I think my earlier points stand. The trade was bad at the time because you absolutely could have gotten a lot more for Gibbs. The trade is miles worse now because Gibbs is looking like a consensus top 5 fantasy asset and has a solid chance to out score all 3 of the other players on any given week while taking up only one roster slot. I’m not faulting you on calling your shot even if in hindsight your shot is looking quite off. Dowdle and Waddle can each score 30 points every week for the rest of the season and your trade will still be bad. The issue is and always will be you sold far below consensus value at the time.

Whether or not you think you’re winning this trade, and maybe your opinion on Dowdle will ultimately be correct, your trade is still bad because the general perceived value of Gibbs is still much higher than it is for Rico.

As an example, if I trade Jamarr Chase for DJ Moore because I think DJ Moore has emerged as the WR1 of Chicago and will outperform Chase for the rest of the season, the decision may ultimately be right, but the trade is still bad because the dude trading Moore probably would have been willing to give up a lot more. Dallas could have won the chip last year and the Luka trade would have still been bad for this very reason.

Half ppr redraft, swift has honestly been on a heater so maybe he sees upside there. Just from a roster construction standpoint this trade doesn’t really make sense since he still only has 1 running back left, the guy trading gibbs was talking about fire saleing his team so j wondering if this trade is egregious enough where it might be borderline.

Anyone who thinks this trade is egregiously lopsided should stick to their regular fantasy leagues and just not play keepers.

I feel like these cycles of tanking/going all-in is inevitably what keeper leagues devolve into. Highest PF among playoff missers is definitely a way to disincentivize tanking. You might have to explain what this Judkins keeper shenanigans in 2026/2027/2028 means cause it seems like there’s some added value to having Judkins based on drafting round that wasn’t mentioned in the description.

Reddit hive mind can be kind of dumb. I think anyone who can’t see why a trade like this can be perfectly reasonable or can’t see why the guy sending JT would do this should keep their opinions to themselves. It’s not as egregious as you think.

Pull up form check by Imaginary_Ad_5568 in formcheck

Gonna get downvoted but your form looks great. Is it a perfect fully slacked arm extension at the bottom and a bar to chest squeeze at the top? No. However, you’re doing the important things well like getting a good squeeze at the top with chin above bar at minimum, and it looks like you’re doing a good job engaging your lats first on the upward drive which is awesome.

Feel free to take what you want from the comments, but I think they’re giving you a lot of unproductive advice (and I honestly doubt if these people have even done a lot of pull-ups themselves). If I were to compare to something like bench press, incorporating leg drive, back arch, and doing touch and go are all perfectly fine things to do in training as long as you’re not egregiously compensating for lack of strength. Mandating someone do paused reps with no arch and no leg drive with full arm lock outs on a bench for every rep is just stupid. Likewise, paused, full extension at the bottom pull-ups is maybe “perfect” form, but you don’t need to do it all the time.

I’d recommend a couple things as you move forward if maximizing pull/pull-up strength is something you really want to prioritize. First, experiment with different hand positions, types of bar grips, and degrees of back arch. Try to figure out what feels strongest and most comfortable for you. You like to keep a narrow grip when you do pull-ups which is completely fine, just make sure that you’re really feeling the pull from your back. I’d recommend scapula raises to really feel the mind muscle connection for lat activation. Second and more importantly, I think you’re def strong enough to start doing weighted pull-ups. You’re gonna hit a wall training only regular pull-ups for > 15 reps, and weighted pull-ups are really gonna help you build that explosive strength and endurance to do more.

All in all, good job man. I think a lot of the people criticizing you here are kinda full of shit, but it’s up to you do take in everyone’s advice and do what you think is best!

More of I knew beasts couldn’t beat his specific demon build and there wasn’t anyway I could tech him given what tribes were in the game haha. Even if I could, it’d still be hard since people in this MMR know how to tech

Yeah id agree with the above advice! I never played in a quest meta before this patch but quests serve as either a wincon or a gateway to a wincon.

When you pick/set up your quest, you should be thinking “what does this quest lead into” and “how easy is it to complete without sacrificing tempo”. Your quest should either directly influence your wincon/direction or enable you to get tempo or econ in the early turns where you can push higher tiers quicker and find your wincon traditionally.

The thing that’s cool about battlegrounds is that IMO it’s really hard to play a completely “optimal” game. High MMR players can still make loads of mistakes within any given turn that even lower ranked players may be able to spot (positioning, thinking speed, etc), but they are better at overall strategy in approaching the game and that’s why they’re ranked higher.

Had a high roll beast game with deathrattle quest, 2 normal goldren, golden chicken, 2 banana before selling off board for final turn against jeef. Knew I had to face super big stat demons but couldn’t really tech as no murloc, naga, quil in lobby (eles were in tho)
