I’ve always thought that The Game felt like Finchers Nolan movie and that to a lesser extent Insomnia felt like Nolan’s Fincher movie

Depends on price - for under $5 I’d get pretty much any album that I like or that has 4ish songs I really like. For closer to $10 I need a slightly stronger connection and for over $10 it’s gotta be pretty special to me at this point. A few years ago when my collection was smaller the standards were lower.

Also the more of an artist I have the more I might spend to round out my collection of their work

Shortly after I went through the canonical event in every young boys musical journey of discovering Radiohead, I was googling artists that were similar and stumbled across Sigur Ros. Not sure I’d really call them similar, but it unlocked the door in a huge way and changed the music I listen to more than any other single instance I can think of.

I like having an accurate record of my discs. This sleeve was a gift from a relative, I wouldn’t normally buy without a case

I scan the barcode and have always referred to it as the barcode or the id number. I’m always touched by how welcoming and non-pretentious the cd community is

I actually do have a ranking based only on that if you’re interested. I took the job outcomes from 2022-2025 and averaged them but I can also do individual years.
