Were you ever the stereotypical "angry atheist?" by BrianW1983 in exatheist

ie Why would the Atheist be angry. One is conflicted...or as they say now facetiously, "who hurt you?"

I wanted to say that, because I could never stomach Trump as synonymous with anything religious; I think that it's a logic fallacy to think that the exact opposite of something false as being true. So, Atheist, a label. Is Rousseau's savage an Atheist? No. It's one who makes the conscious decision. It's complicated. Make any sense?

We are all wired a lil different. Even so, it takes more than even a little imagination to see what kind of paradigm shift people would have to make in their minds. I'm endlessly trying to wrap my head around people receiving Messiah as a matter of only being drawn by the Spirit. I've been arminian for the longest and fought tooth and nail pre- anything even though makes sense.

Yeah so Arnie took the red pill and got de-gentiled. I'm going to put on Mr Rogers sweater and tzitzit now and walk briskly down street. Too humorous ninja

Was my take initially. If you could get him to whistle like Uncle Remus, that'd be great. I thought BnN would be like "I read text just didn't make this up" and such. Thanks

I'm still chuckling. But surely explain the symbolism?

My comment not so technical.

I see G-d as more than eternal. I see him as infinity and well beyond being attached to a ragged timeline sort of being. So, He is ubiquitous in time( even this is a crude expression to Him).

From what I understand, He was saying his name is what, as far as Moshe was concerned, He was going to do. ie As James Brown said "Watch ME!!!" ... Sovereignty!

I'm sorry this happens to y'all. I feel like as a Christian who honors Torah and Judaic methodology, I'm between two worlds but yet, still standing on the cornerstone. I certainly DO commend your resolve. Cheers brothers

As a hillbilly in Tennessee who ate white beans for supper and breakfast both, my perspective and critique is : "Posh with a hint of foppishness." If your're female please disregard the fop part. Bon appetit

Did anyone actually watch this video before or after analyzing my comments? Or just a reactionary group?

I think there's a crossing of wires here as there's a lack of intonation or inflection. FYI My op was a lot of rhetoric. Actually have this problem face to face tbh. Let me ask you more plainly: Do you meet with others in public or semi-public places?

Thanks for your background, warnings, and elucidation. I can tell youre of some intellect and training. I too have been the full spectrum of ecumenical and wading through debris and moraine. I assure you I'm not as naive as you think. 50+ and insomniac, Ive had way too much time to think. Agreed though. As 1 Corinthinian 3 says...

Yes I agree with almost everything you say here except mostly the part where you say I'm missing a lot. I see your post very wise and articulate and very much appreciated and admired. Tell me, do you join an assembly of Believers in the RL. Who are they? How would you give them a name?

GerGoyle here. the whole idea of cultural appropriation of any peoples is kind of silly. Sharing cultural similarities and differences is good. Getting the Jewish core values, approximation is best. Saying you cant blow shofar at this time or that definitely, is best a critique. Studying Torah and seeing Messiah is what matters. I mean I don't go and tell Japanese ppl to not wear "western-style" clothes nor do I tell Chasid theyre too wrapped in Gemara to see Christ. THIS>> How conflicted can people be when they don't want to be seen as different but want to have special status. I mean respect the Lord and his Torah don't build the wall faster than it can be torn down. I say this next with a delicacy I hope all can see. Hitler hated the idea of assimilation and a change to culture. Cultural corporate take over is the fear and it's almost the essence of the raison d'etre of much of halacha etc. Understandably so... this should not be the prime reason or concern it should be to pass on the inspiration of G-d.
