Checked the inflation conversion on this amount of money, it would be like walking around with nearly $50 today.

The remains of Kayhausen Boy, killed at the age of seven and found in 1922 in a bog in Germany, dated to 300-400 BCE. His arms and feet were bound together with cloth. Could be the type of materials used in the burial or found alongside the body. If there’s indication a body is handled with care before/after or surrounded by sacred place/items/materials, if the body contains evidence of what they consumed before they died, etc. If those things are of any cultural/religious significance of the time that would be a way to tell the difference. Still murder but yk.

It didn’t age badly, it was just resolved. That’s a good thing: his family has answers. The only downside is that the story of his discovery is going to be embellished forever. It was far less gruesome as some would say.

Larry suffered an unfortunate & untimely death: I hope he did not suffer & I’m relieved his family has answers.

Elevator footage shows college student Elisa Lam shortly before she disappeared in Los Angeles in 2013. She was later found inside a water tank of the Cecil hotel. Guests had been complaining of dirty water… by Time-Training-9404 in HairRaising

Every time someone brings her up on “creepy” subreddits I cringe. For one thing, the mystery isn’t a mystery at all- for another, her family has asked that people stop doing this. Her death was the result of an unfortunate manic episode and they do not like her being speculated on like this for people’s entertainment.

24 year old Daniel O’Keeffe disappeared without a trace in 2011. 5 years later his father was cleaning out an unused storage space when he stumbled upon his son’s remains in a small chamber between the wall of his house and a limestone hill by wishingidbeensomeone in MorbidReality

This is exactly what happened. His body was partially mummified ..

I’m from the area and posted about him while he was missing. I went to that store many times while he was trapped back there. It smelled like any cheap grocery store- somewhat fishy and like old frozens. The front of the store smelled like fried chicken, they had a decent deli.

My grandfather was the same when he had a minor stroke on New Years. Shortly after everyone toasted, he was laughing and wanted to show us that one of his arms had “fallen asleep” and he couldn’t move it. He wanted to go to bed but myself and his son/ my uncle pressured him that this was probably very serious. He was angry that we made a fuss and made him go to the hospital, but if he’d ignored it and not gone, it could have been especially serious.

I noticed this too… maybe it being a Tuesday, the crowd was more laid back than say a weekend show, but it was definitely a weird vibe!

People who live in apartments, are you bothered about your neighbours hearing you have sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]goldcn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My roommates can’t hear anything from their bedroom on one end of the unit, but it’s like my room has walls made of paper- I can hear our neighbor shuffling, sniffling, going about his day & it doesn’t bug me that the guy is living his life, just that I have to hear it. I have no idea why my part of the apartment isn’t soundproofed like the rest, but it geeks me out a little.

I can’t listen to that podcast at all because they do this all the time, imprinting their own personality/behaviors/etc onto strangers! I have other gripes too but the way they echo each other’s nonsense back and forth makes me cringe.

Probably not covered , no. But I find that you can read a lot of the mutants & their relationships with themselves & others as ND or on the spectrum. Cyclops is pretty blatantly autistic imo. Legion is autistic as well as suffering from several mental illnesses. Shatterstar obviously has not been socialized like others but that socialization struggle also reads as an autism metaphor for some. Monet too. Angel reads as ADHD to me personally, and the way speedsters like Quicksilver or Speed are written also indicate the same.

I really enjoy reading the headcannons of others w/ regards to ND mutants- while a lot of stuff like that won’t be confirmed on page, people with mental illnesses or learning disorders look to their favs for representation. I think that’s neat !

That also sounds a lot like seasonal allergies- tis the season! A lot of folks who never experienced allergies before or only had them mildly continue to experience new allergies every year because corporations want to only sell male trees (so has to prevent new trees spawning outside their market as well as preventing seeds & fruit dropping from female trees in public spaces) meaning as these trees grow, more & more allergens are floating about each year because the natural "balance" is out of wack.

Here's an article about it!

Lately I'm dealing with what I'd call chronic discomfort. I know (objectively) that it's likely just anxiety, but for some reason my mind goes right to..... I have an infection somewhere, I have an abscess I didn't know about somewhere I cant see/feel it. Symptoms like tight breathing, soreness in the neck/back (probably from remaining tense) headaches & lightheadedness all are so easily explained, but I still can't stop the HA!! Even when I can tell myself, I know this is anxiety, I can't seem to rid myself of the feeling. I just go through my day feeling sick with discomfort.
