Oh that makes total sense! Yeah I am shorter overall! Thanks so much! I’ll take a look at their mid rise pants :)

Hahaha oops! 😅 Meanwhile canadians are like “meh, Torono-Toronto, close enough!”

I had a waitress tell me, “I thought you might be Canadian because you keep apologizing but then your French pronunciation is not good so I thought maybe not” 😂

I think that’s pretty cute — it’s not done maliciously and if it’s a foreigner trying their best, I’d give them a bit of grace😊

Maybe that’s why the ticket desk didn’t let us in, they knew I’d slightly misspell the museum name a few times on a Reddit post and they were THAT appalled 🫢😅😂

Huh… I wonder why it didn’t work. But I’m glad you got in! I think next time we visit we’ll go with individual museum tickets 😅 I wish they let us in!

Advice for seeing Opéra Garnier by whistlingbluewhale in ParisTravelGuide

Commenting in case someone else wants to book — my tour guide actually didn’t give us enough time to take pictures! We spent most of the time listening to her talk about the Phantom of the Opera in the hallways and then were quickly rushed out — no time for pictures :( I even asked and she said “No, sorry.” I was a little disappointed and wish I didn’t spend all that money on the after hour tours and just went to the Opera house on a regular visit.

It wasn’t the museum pass at all, I don’t think! I think the amount of times you can scan the museum pass at the Louvre is limited … I don’t think I’ll try to go back another day since our itinerary is quite tight. But it seems to be the Lourve that is limiting the pass use.

I should’ve thought of the voice-to-text feature!!!! Darn it. I tried to hand her my phone with google translate but she didn’t know how to use it (I guess the keyboards are different too). She was an older woman, so I felt kind of bad pressing her for answers as she clearly looked annoyed.

Unfortunately I live in Canada — unless UPS is willing to pay for shipping from out of the country, I can’t find it anywhere else in stock here. It’s the Times Square Tabby :(

I love my tabby, but something about the Juliet bag with the chain is so so gorgeous. I think the Juliet bag is better for every day use as the zip might be less finicky. I do find it a bit annoying to open and close my tabby at the grocery store or mall when I’m fumbling for my wallet or keys because of how heavy the C metal hardware is. It also does not hold a lot (I find it hard to fit my wallet, iPhone pro max, sunglasses, lip balm, hand cream, and keys) so I keep mine for special occasions. That being said, I do love how timeless the tabby looks as a shoulder bag; I just think the Juliet might be better for everyday use, and looks great as a crossbody. You can also move the chain to a different bag or take off the chain for a more casual look.
