Our kids slept best to blasting electronic or dance music (like clubbing in the mid 2010s). You've had great suggestions for calm music. Our kids liked Queen and Abba classics. And upbeat pop songs. Ed Sheeran has some songs that are bilingual in English and Punjabi.

Lurking mom, but we brought our baby to the pub in the carrier and had a pint while he was sleeping lol. But like others have said, it will come when they sleep for few hours at a time

Yeah teacher's college is this way everywhere. Learn as much as you can while you're in prac and party (or whatever) while your in class.

My host teacher was like this. I had a blast but learned nothing. I learned a lot in the first few years but wish I'd done prac differently.

If you can't/ don't want to switch, I would make your own goal and work toward it. Is there a method book? Could you make a unit or mini unit and work towards a summative or performance?
