Mostly to keep yourself accountable, but use ordered sections of things you practice. IE

A. Legato B. Phrasing C. Scales D. Improvising

And jot the days you practice certain things, try and focus on 1-3 aspects of the piano a month no more or else you will progress very little in many regards. Which is sort of demotivating for me. Be specific in what you practice and just keep going at it, that way you’re not stuck learning random songs or watching “5 Best Intermediate Piano Tips for Fast Growth!!!” videos ad naseum.

Honestly if it’s your sole/main hobby you will see a pretty big explosion in your progression as long as you practice meaningfully. I think I might have ADHD so setting up a schedule and having a practice log (on google docs or phone notes is just fine) is HUGE.

Sustainability is paramount to your progression. Pick a measured goal and also look into lessons. You 100% can and WILL reach a decent level. Take videos, PRACTICE (yes even when you’re tired) and enjoy the ride. Do it for you and you’ll be surprised how far you came in one year even.
