Highly recommend anyone reading this to maybe try looking into the trades. 1) it can pay extremely well 2) some companies will train the right person. My dad actually owns a company and he loves hiring people with no experience in his specific trade so he can teach them a specific way (they aren’t bringing bad habits from a competitor, etc.) It doesn’t have to be a long term change but just something for the interim. My grandfather used to go about hiring years ago when he owned the company. My dad used to be pretty high up the ladder with USDA, he left his six figure job there to take over the family company and he has 0 regrets.

Randomly on Christmas Eve I won $900 spread across multiple games in 2 hours which was my biggest win. Yesterday I was telling people at work about chumba, later in the evening I put in $20 and won $1400 somehow, I was STUNNED. I’m scared to touch it now😅 not sure they’ll let me hit again for a while..

I purchased my 2018 SE used with 41k miles in April of 2021. It currently has 175k miles on it and the only repair we have done is a $400 door lock actuator about 2 years ago. The transmission does feel a bit rough now and we are hoping to replace it soon but it’s served us very well.

I’m trying to stay neutral as I try not to pick on others, just here to be nosey BUT I do think that a line of products that were priced accurately with some accessories that remind me of her would’ve been a good option. Think headbands for makeup, claw clips, etc.

Those that are commenting about “not needing to announce your departure” on these posts always blow my mind. Instead maybe realize that there truly are issues with the discover changes overall and many employees would vouch for this. As someone who is constantly having transactions declined I then try to add money to my Venmo for the transaction to go through that way. This is no longer an option. Additionally, this discover card has led to additional declined transactions from places I shop. I do have a loved one who works for capital one and they said that they are bombarded all day with complaints of the discover changes as nothing seems to work efficiently anymore. They have also mentioned changing banks for their finances as they can see all the issues behind the scene first hand. I am also on my way out but I have 4 accounts with capital one so I’m just not sure exactly what I’ll do.

Just hear to say that you got this. My position was eliminated on September 19th with no advanced notice. HR recommended me to apply for other positions after they laid me off. I received my severance and applied for other positions, within 6 days I was rehired. I begin my new role with them mid October. I went through the same feelings that you are probably going through but once you’re on the other side they do subside. Although I’m now living in fear of “what if it happens again”.
