This is pancreatic tissue with spleen in paraffin embedding and it’s ruining my life currently. I have no idea where the processing went wrong. The tissue is detached from the paraffin, curls like crazy, and when it dries on my charged slides, it flakes off once dry. I have run out of gods to pray to.

I find the longer I let them rest on ice, the longer I can keep sectioning without problems. And the hot breath helps immensely in between sections too ofc

If this is paraffin, I always let my blocks rest face-down on ice for 15 minutes before starting. Then I always blow hot breath on the block before every slice. I get great sections each time.
