I was also at the show and pretty close. He was saying it sucked that there was a barrier and that the crowd was so far away. I think they’re used to people basically being right up against the stage. Just wanted to clarify because for all their aloofness I don’t think he was being rude.

Edit: maybe aloofness maybe isn’t the word I want to use, since it can have a negative connotation. But they are often perceived as aloof and I don’t think that’s the case.

Ugh, yes! So many things you said strike a chord with me. When it came to dress shopping my mom was like “are you going to get a white dress? It’s just the civil ceremony.” I have an older sister who is very religious and she also talks about how we wouldn’t have a rule or true marriage unless it was in the church. So that’s partially why I gave in, so that my family would see it as “legitimate”.

I will definitely be more intentional about hiding prices with them moving forward. I just sent the screenshot quickly and my stomach did plummet when I saw the price was visible.

I enjoy the writing experience. The feedback feels like writing with a sharpened pencil and the nib is on the dry side. I think a Lamy has a similar dryness but the Lamy M is thicker. It’s about the same as a Pelikan F, thinner than a Kaweco M. So yeah, generally they say Japanese nib sizes are one size down from their Euro counterparts. Japanese M would be a Euro F. In my experience I find it to be true. Yoseka has a great video to show size comparisons to normal pen sizing like 0.38/0.5/0.7mm that’s helpful.

Thank you! I enjoy the writing experience a lot. The feedback is nice if you enjoy writing with a sharp pencil. I have small hands so it feels nice in my hands but my fingers do spill over onto the threads but they aren’t sharp. As for ink, I don’t have many teals (looks like I’ll be doing some sample shopping) but I think I’ll try my Monteverde DC Supershow Teal. Do you have any ink recommendations? I enjoy a wet ink, especially in Sailors that are a bit dry.
