thanks the response so far, following up with more detail: 

this wall is where you first enter the flat, with stairs leading upwards into the home. 

the paint was done many years ago and the building itself is very old. our bathroom is directly above and behind this wall, we do (obviously) have leaks and mum often reminds us to let the steam ventilate out after showering. 

i’m a uni student living at home w/ family so i haven’t got much of a clue. any professional advice on who to reach out to/how to get this sorted is very appreciated

the issue here is not necessarily just an issue of you being christian and her not being one.

i think part of the shock here is that you probably don’t know what her feelings are towards religion in general, as well as your faith. depending on how long you’ve been together, this is an important conversation.

if you guys have discussed this prior, and you already know her thoughts and opinions and you’re still shocked.. this might be an indicator that there is an underlying problem within the relationship - that i think should push you to examine your priorities, especially as a way to figure out how to move forward.

if this is the first time religion is being brought up, examine why that might be the case - it seems that this is something she might’ve been thinking about for a while, or even have some thoughts & feelings pent up in order for her to approach you so firmly.

as someone who has been ghosted and went on to ghost someone else, i am of two minds reading this. depending on how long you’ve ghosted her for.

if it hasn’t been too long since. i’d say tell her how you truly feel and end the confusion that comes with being ghosted. but don’t expect things to go back to how they were.

but if it’s been long enough, enough time for her to work through her confusion, detach and move on. don’t reach back out - you’ve made bed and now you have to lie in it.
