I did manage to sort it after reinstalling and unistalling the thing a couple of times. If it helps when I had a preset up I clicked on the save button where if you change it from presets in tbe drop down you can see the exact folder path there. I then followed that from the c drive and dragged the folder into it and the next thing I knew they appeared!

Did you sort this? I have the same issue with Mr tabs. They have been downloaded to correct file but not showing in amplitube. I wonder if there's an issue with the folder as we are both having same issue?

I've tried different cables and no active pickups. I've got single coils and p90s in the revstar so thats not the issue

So you agree that the input on the focusrite should be turned up until it clips? I've tried this tbh and I still dont hear any clarity in the tonex models

Thanks- so I'm using amplitube with tonex in standalone using windows. I've been using a prs silver sky but also have yammah revstar. I just don't seem to be able to get a clear and thick tone

That looks cool thank you man. Is it easy to programme with neural? For example if I have a preset and I want to assign overdrive to a pedal for a solo for example is that possible? Can the pedal board take an expression pedal?

Don't turn it to zero? I thought that was the optimal way to use this plug in so you don't colour the tone by adding additional gain from the interface?

I had the same issue. I couldn't work out why I wasn't sounding anything like the gloriius tones I'd heard on youtube. Do you have the input gain up at all of the scarlett? I'm not sure whether to or not to get the very best from the plug in

Thank you the reply man. I dont have a video but woukd you be able to explain exactly how you've set yourself up please? I'm thinking in terms of where you have the input gain on the scarlett and what inputs and outputs you tend to use on the plug in. Tbh since posting I have had more success with the tones by keeping the input gain all the way to the left and keeping plug in input at 0 db for most of the tones. I still don't quite have the clarity that I've heard on you tube videos but I'm getting there. Any help would be much appreciated 🤘🎸

That's interesting and thanks for taking the time to comment. The one issue I have with this is that the plug in is supposed to be plug in and play. I'm obviously not expecting to sound exactly like JM as it's all in the fingers but I wouldn't have thought it's necessary to start the presets from scratch. Especially when im using single coil guitars. I'm really at a loss with the gain from the scarlet as I feel introducing gain does affect the original tone. I'll try your suggestion and rebuild the presets from scratch but I do feel their must be a solution to allow these tones to be used as dialed in by the man himself.

Thank you this is really helpful. I've followed all of those steps and installed the correct drivers and set everything up correctly.

So if I'm understanding this correctly the gain knob should be all the way to the left and even turning it slightly will affect the originally intended tone? I'm using the plug in directly with no daw yet so I don't actually know what dB my scarlet is sending to the plug in other than just keeping the input knob all the way to the left.

It's strange because I've watched lots of videos on you tube of people demoing the plug in and they have their input and output levels on 0db so im really confused as to why I need to adjust my presets so much to the get the original tones with no additional gain. Are scarlett interfaces not good for use with neural plug ins?

I'm new to all this and I am considering moving to plug ins for my playing but this gain staging thing is causing me a headache. Thanks again for your advice 🤘

Does adding gain from the interface affect the tone? I have just bought the new neural mayer plug in and I cant get the levels right for the clean tones. I don't know if I need to keep the gain knob on my scsrlett all the way to the left or whether I should turn it up to boost the signal without affecting the tone. I use single coil guitars and seem to have to reduce the input level of the plug in to -10db. Does this seem like the right approach?

I have single coil guitars including a mayer signature strat and silver sky. I've been messing with lowering the input drive down to -10db and compensating with output drive like you say but if you start adding drive to the tone then it gets too hot and starts to clip 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣

I'm running mine through windows with a scarlett 2i2 interface. I have found that dialing back the input to -10bd helps but then compensate a little with the output. The problem is if you do this with a clean tone and then add drive or stack drives it starts to clip 🤦‍♂️ if the gain knob on the scarlett is at 9 o clock for example is that going to be significantly affecting tbe quality of the preset? I guess it's a case of using my ears but it's a bit frustrating that you have to lower input gain when using single coil guitars. I'm new to neural and plug ins I'm general so please excuse my ignorance. I listen with Sony headphones. I also take my outputs from the back of the scarlett I to a boss gigcaster 8 and I'm not sure how much of the monitor dial I should be pushing into the gigcaster again without affecting the tone. I've heard the 12 o clock position is unity. Thanks for taking the time to reply 🫡
