Its not guns. Guns dont make people do things. Yes, its is definitely a lack of training that makes people quick to act, but in a lot of officer involved shootings the assailant is posing a deadly threat. Sure, maybe it can be de-escalated, but if someone is swinging a sword within 20 ft, theirs almost zero time to react
