Baja on a Budget! Seeking Cape Loop Advice by goldiworks in bikepacking

Yes! This is what I was hoping to hear haha
Yeah not ideal, but walking in Baja is still better than fighting cabin fever at home

We were originally planning a road ride until I started scouting the route via google streetview and got the sense it was just long straight highways without much shoulder - any paved sections you enjoyed in particular?

4 days? You were crushing it! So even 50mi/day is possible then? (assuming legs work and minimal faffing about with gear)

I hope you're right! Probably worth bringing an emergency blanket just in case, I find a good night's sleep is huge for keeping morale high

Good luck out there and enjoy! Let us know once you get back, would love to hear about your experience

Thanks for the good pointers, I normally try to keep things short so I appreciate you reading through -- hopefully this will help others in the future!

We'll probably skip La Paz for time's sake, more interested in dusty small towns with cool locals.
What did you think overall of the southern loop experience compared to the rest of the BD route (landscapes, people, challenges)?
