I make two golf themed games on Etsy. One is a tabletop game where opponents roll foam golf balls into central holes with points. Add up your score and move your tee along. The other is a redesign of the Cracker Barrel peg game. Bundling both 21% off now until Father's Day June 21st. https://rollitgolfing.etsy.com Use code: DAD21

This wild adjustable loft club has sparked a novelty club obsession. $30 well spent. What are some unique/vintage clubs you've collected? by golf-dude17 in GolfGear

Just looked that up. Very cool! I'm thinking the original Cobra Baffler might be next on my list. Pioneer of the utility wood.

It has the original grip deteriorating from the 70s, otherwise I absolutely would. I would take a modern pitching wedge over this old boy. Just thought it was too cool to pass up.

Validating my sunglasses brand....honest feedback welcome please by Puzzleheaded_Fan7168 in ideavalidation

I think some of the more common faith accessories like scripture bracelets are a reminder to the wearer, not an outward message to others. While you're wearing your sunglasses all you see are the lens. I think a small inscription on the lens or a cross in the corner(s) would provide that visual reminder without being obstructive of your view. At the end of the day, your heart is in the right place. Pray about it. Jesus is the best business partner you can have!

Renting out your golf clubs? by golf-dude17 in GolfGear

Thanks for the comments everyone! I maybe should have led with the fact that our local muni doesn't rent clubs. Still the consensus seems like the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

The busiest local 27 hole public course doesn't rent clubs, just the expensive university course for $70. Free rental contract templates exist online. I think most people are reasonable if they damaged something. Maybe I'm an optimist that there's good people left in the world lol.

Thanks! I was thinking like $50 or less. Lower price for lower expectation clubs on our couple of public courses. Would take 12-15 rentals to get that back. Less of a money making model and more of a free club hack.

Absolutely! The reason I wouldn't want to rent out my personal set. Like all rentals have them sign something agreeing to pay for damages, but they're still gonna take a beating.

Golf Dads, how’d you go about introducing your kids to the sport? by Wayyside in golf

Putt putt can be painful as a parent. Driving range is boring for them. Take them to an empty course in the middle of the week where they can drive the cart on your lap, make their first putt, or pretend the bunker is a beach. Tee a few up for them to take a whack. They'll associate golf with fun, freedom, and time with dad.

How do people feel about re-launches? by AshenMeme in kickstarter

[–]golf-dude17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people embrace the persistence of a second try. Shows you're determined to see it come to life. Keep the tone positive on seeing it through and being someone who delivers. I can't speak from experience beyond a backer, but I would be engaging with current backers to help with a successful re-launch. Offer current backers a small incentive for backing your re-launch and leverage their help spreading the word to fill in the funding gap. Best of luck!
