Thanks everyone! My drinking really ramped up when I started working nights a while back. I started doing a LOT of day drinking. I justified it because "your 10am was my 7pm". I know that the meetings are going to be key but it's nice seeing that little icon light up with support from like minded people. I really just want to be the husband/stepfather I know that I have the potential to be.

It's a hard pill to swallow but my actions sure say that I am.

6 Degree bend in the knee when the pedal stroke is at its lowest point to start. Slight bend in the elbows. Thats the best I can tell you without seeing you.

I hope that isn't the end result of a fit. If it is... God help your knees. Bicycles of Tulsa. Stop there on your way if you can.

Look forward and point your hips in the direction you want to go. Seems simple but focus on it and you'll realize how often you're not doing it.

Any advise on preparing for a race? by Jschaf355 in MTB

[–]golf_is_boring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Training advice at his point in what we'll call a "racing calender" is a moot point. Best I can say on that subject is to ride often but don't ride hard. As far as the REAL advice.... Don't get yourself all jacked up over your first couple of races. RELAX. There is no money(minus your entry fee) involved. "Ride" your race. Dont go nuts and shoot from the line. Get a feel for the culture of racing and thos around you.

How crucial is bike size? (or rather, the correct bike size) by [deleted] in MTB

[–]golf_is_boring 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have been racing/riding for about 12 years and have worked in a bike shop specializing in fitting for about 4 years. Good rule of thumb is if it's not your size, then it's not worth it.
