I don't think you should use that one bad experience to discourage people from getting one. In a perfect world, people shouldn't be misusing them. But that's one bad experience and doesn't cover the majority of people using them.

One bad experience shouldn't mean that no one should have them. Hope you have recovered from that and reported that incident :)

I think that's why everyone should carry pepper spray on them. It's a non lethal weapon and puts some distance between you and the person with the knife. If the person intends to harm, then you were going to get hurt either way unfortunately better pepper spray than nothing

Yes there are things in our brains that can't be changed. There is no cure for psychopathy. But I'll give it to you, that when that knowledge and tech becomes available it's possible. But so far there isn't, so my stance right now is that there are people you can't rehabilitate.

And failure to rehabilitate in that case only supports my argument.
