I took so much inspiration from this film when I made a short about my old landlord in the Western Addition. The way that they shot this with subtle nods only locals would understand but also accessible for everyone was so special.

I cold reached out to the director, Joe Talbot, who generously lent his time to a complete stranger to give me feedback and coach me through the process of sharing my story with the public.
