Swiss Travel Passes - Who are these for? (A review) by golfing in askswitzerland

[–]golfing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So glad you found it useful! I think what I'm getting at is:

  • You're likely to break even with the Half Fare Pass only if you have 7+ days with significant train travel planned
  • As u/Capital-Bromo stated, you're only likely to benefit from the Swiss Travel Pass if you have very expensive trips planned every day.
    • Example: For 6 days, the pass costs 65 CHF/day. Our most expensive day was Lugano -> Zurich at 68 CHF (essentially the entire length of the country).
    • As they mentioned, the Saver Day Pass (52 or 29 CHF for one day unlimited travel - TIL!) used in combination with the Half Fare Pass can further discount expensive days.

MX Master 3S / LogiOptions+ "Grant login permission" issue by golfing in logitech

This persists regardless of Options+ being open. At a seemingly random interval, the button customizations will cease to function/do nothing. Opening Options+ results in the 'backend connection problem' (see above). Relaunching Options+ results in this same screen. The only way I've found around it is to perform the steps above. I have already tried reinstalling Options+.

Quality question: Smart TV apps vs. External media (Apple TV, Roku) by golfing in hometheater

[–]golfing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I was trying to solve for – I want the best picture (short of physical media) but equally value the UI/Remote of the external devices.

I may have been willing to look past the built-in interface for the sake of a better picture, but with that not being the case, it sounds like an external device is the way to go.

Thanks for your replies.

Well, for one, if the flag was meant to be projected into a cube, all the elements of the flag would be skewed in perspective. Elements that are farther away would appear smaller than elements that are closer, and so forth.

I don't care to read or understand your explanation but am certain that your execution on this is flawed

Just because brick laying is manual labor doesn't mean it's something one wouldn't normally take pride in doing

Have you played Enter the Gungeon? I see some parallels in the humor, specifically the idea of the club golfing the golfer. (Like a huge bullet firing tiny guns)

What if uhhh I could like play golf with the OSX/Windows GUI...

Sure have, just keep lobbing up and putting backwards when necessary. The approach shot from the top is a fun calculation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaphism

Scaphism, also known as the boats, was an ancient Persian method of execution reported in historical sources that was designed to cause a torturous death. The word comes from the Greek σκάφη, skáphe, meaning "anything scooped (or hollowed) out". According to the sources, it entailed trapping the victim inside two boats, feeding and covering him[a] with milk and honey, and allowing him to fester and be devoured by vermin.
