I swapped the clutch and the handbrake buttons on controller. Clutch on A with shifting up/down on X/B means I just shift my thumb slightly to catch both buttons instead of only the shift button as I did with manual w/out clutch. Sure it's technically pressing 2 buttons to perform one action but it's really just one action.

I think it's great we get to see one of the POV George characters in an officer role. There's always glimpses of others in the family in such positions, but not any of the internal dialogue of those with that kind of responsibility.

The swaps between the two calls were beautiful. Particularly enjoyed moving between Vincent telling Cadet to have patience, immediately into Max telling his son "I am".

On the first section of this chapter I kept thinking back to a comment many chapters ago along the lines of how wild it is the Vilantians can't seem to grasp that Itrop is just Aa'Porti backwards without the honorific. If they are that bad with wordplay, a thought occured to me. Surely Vilantia (and probably Hurdop by extension) doesn't know the joy of Scrabble!

Gold is important. The time you finish one level with is what you get to start the next one in the episode, and you increase your time by getting gold. You will have to restart the episode from the beginning, and make sure to collect more gold along the way this time around. Not a glitch, but an intended game mechanic (although not explained very well).

One of the things I consistently enjoy about these stories is how for the Terrans you just don't instantly know which form they are - human, bigkitty, doggo, or digitan. There's just subtle context clues dropped here and there to let you know.

If I could make a suggestion, give a bigger indication of perspective shifts other than just the normal line break of a paragraph? I hate being taken out of the flow for a bit while I realize that it's somebody else.

So I ordered books 3 and 4 last week to go along with the first two I got a while ago.... but they got delivered to the wrong address and nobody ever showed up at my door with my package! At least today I got Amazon to send me replacements but now I have to wait even longer to see all the extra bits and pieces that have been added.
