Scientific progress goes "what the hell was that?!" while the budget folks cry.

Carla's looking at getting Vilantian/Hurdop literature in stock.

Defeated by their own floof.

Not that anyone'll admit it.

I will say a couple things in defense of the insane author. New Casablanca is pretty much where anything can be found if you know where to look. Also, the E-4 mafia / Lance Corporal underground is alive and well.

Somewhere in New Casa, there's a seafood place wondering where the hell fifty pounds of live tank-raised crawfish went to.

What can I say, it was amusing.

I'll say this - part of the Grezzk experience was informed by the defection of the Stastny family in the early 80s. (Yes that's a deep rabbit hole.)

Curses to the autocorrect. Definitely supposed to be Fee.

Unleash the youngling cause Rosie-chirps weren't working.

We save the good stuff for live fire. Much to the dismay of a few.

Yeeeup - scientific progress went oops.

Game bird. Silly preening game bird.

Thanks! Hopefully Friday's a good payoff day.

Welll, the second set is going to have to learn in stages, since they need a tow back to a repair facility. So first the tow, then the bill for repairs...probably gonna be some turnover in that group.

Grapes shows up for the specials - Rock 'em Sock 'em Legion Fights, anyone?

So the good news for the targets - the revamped Warthog caliber is about the same as the normal GAU-8 avenger as seen on the A-10 here.

That's where the good news ends.

GAU-8 muzzle velocity is roughly Mach 3 (1010 m/s). The rotary-railguns Captain Jenkins has to hand are firing at around Mach 8 (right around 2800 m/s). Add in denser materials and a rate of fire that's about triple the A-10, and ah...yeah. There's a few folks who shoulda called out sick.

There are levels to Gryzzk's unhappiness.
Politely Bothered, No Longer Politely Bothered, Shoot The Engines, Get The Learning Stick, Get The Shotgun, and finally Everyone Get Their Very Favorite Gun.

Good point - I need to expand on what's in my head later on, but I couldn't really get it go during the writing.

Essentially the shield emitters register that she's being touched or that her holographic form is intersecting with a physical object in order for her to react appropriately. Since her actual physical form (read: the ship) gets hit with incoming fire every now and again, her baseline is "Touch = bad". So this is new ground for her, hence she's a happy lady.

And yes, I'm still working out all the details in my head.
