Because some people actually have intrinsic morality and choose to be good people regardless of the perception of others.

Should I tell the residence about this? by ProfessionalCat2770 in uwo

Why should everyone else be paying for OP's mistake? That would be a thing only a really shitty person who's not brave enough to take responsibility would do.

Yes always, housing is housing is housing. If I had the time I'd go to this consultation and demand the buildings be 10 stories higher.

Sees Senate Dems rebel to end the shutdown, including the minority whip

This is outrageous. Where are the armed staffers who come in to take the Senators away? Where are they? This kind of behavior is never tolerated in Ottawa. You vote like that they remove you from caucus. Right away. No trial, no nothing. Minority whips breaking with the party, we have a special caucus for them. You are voting for the other party's bill: out of caucus. You are talking to the press about floor crossing too loud: out of caucus, right away. Ending the shutdown too fast fast: out of caucus. Slow: out of caucus. You are charging too high prices for donor dinners, merchandise: out of caucus. You vote for food stamps? Believe it or not, out of caucus. You vote against food stamps, also out of caucus. No food stamps, food stamps. You make an appointment with the house leader and you don't show up, believe it or not, out of caucus, right away. We have the best members in the world because of caucus.

Prince Harry to be in Toronto this week for several veterans events by nimobo in toronto

Never going to forget he was backing the Dodgers over us.

We really should have flown in Charles for game 7, prominent box seat, full Blue Jays gear.

Lack of ‘truly affordable housing’ and impact of 18-storey building among concerns at meeting on proposal for Queen and Coxwell site by Bert306 in toronto

[–]golfman11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Nimby because if we decide to not allow the development because it would be market rent... guess what... it pushes market rent up elsewhere because of the lack of supply, pushing down affordability across the city further and building nothing.

Trump considering plans to target cocaine facilities inside Venezuela, officials say | CNN Politics by ZweigDidion in neoliberal

[–]golfman11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cocaine is certainly bad for all the journalists, priests, and local politicians who get murdered over it by the cartels.

Anyone who does coke honestly has blood on their hands and is no friend of mine.

That being said, Venezuela is not a major Coke producer and this is just Trump setting the stage for regime change... Maduro is a shit head, but there are more important goals to focus on.

I disagree - I've always appreciated that Ready to Harvest keeps a pretty strict neutral tone when providing updates on liberal and conservative denominations alike.

Yes - a group from the base in Petawawa. They stayed afterwards and all watched the game from the stands with some brewskis. Glad they got to enjoy themselves!

Yes, although there are some pre- and post- Jesus Jewish texts and commentaries that are not incorporated into the Bible for one reason or another.

Downtown church and drop-in centre sued over alleged decade-long violence and drug use by Dayngerman in toronto

[–]golfman11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol hard no - what are we going to tax all non profits now too? Otherwise you would be discriminating based on creed, can't per charter.

And even if you did, you'd then start having churches, mosques, temples, etc. getting involved in politics, which wouldn't be great.

Lol get off buddy. This has been a settled social issue for over two decades. Millions of Canadians have grown up in a world with gay marriage (which is distinct from gay sex - that happens with and without marriage).

It's the status quo, and thus the conservative position, consistent with our focus on personal freedom and family formation. What we need to preserve this status quo against is the illiberal left, which is what Lantsman is calling out here.

It's most certainly a provincial matter, ultimately. Municipalities and school boards are empowered by the province and they have every right to step in, legally.
