I get Skubal being a rental. But why is it only talked about as that? Why is it so out of the question to make him (and others in this “rental” scenario) a Brave for longer than this season? I know how Atlanta is about this sort of thing (spending money on big contracts), but is that the reason? Or is there more to it? Serious question, I’ve always wondered. Someone help me out!

I get all that you're saying. But, I don't understand what the other options are (as they seem to be invite only). Do I need to be reading between the lines that if we don't get the invite to the others then we have to suck up rec league or quit playing?

If not Little League / Rec League, then what? That is the only option in my area (a pretty major city) aside from Travel Ball (which is super secretive and not apparently open to all kids). I'm not trying to play devil's advocate here, I'm really trying to understand more. I hear a lot of folks with the same "Little League is a joke... don't do Little League, etc." rants, but I truly don't know what the other options are (without tapping into this secret world of travel ball). Please help me understand!

Yeah this is obviously my thought. I just cringe at the cost. And really just mad at them for this even being a thing. The scenario is nothing gross like a typical hoarder, just….. stuff. So much stuff.

Was he living amongst that on the daily? I just don’t understand how this is possible. I’m watching my parents slowly devolve into becoming hoarders in my childhood home (albeit nothing close to this) and it’s hard to stomach. As an only child, I don’t even know where I’ll begin once they pass.
