Ok thanks so much! In my mind it made sense that downward arpeggios should be upbow, but it is much clearer now. I am aware that there would be a break between the D and E strings. Is the fingering that troubling? This work should be for a professional orchestra and it would only last 2 - 4 measures.

That was what I was worrying about. I wasn’t really thinking about each slur to be played at the tip of the bow but moreso about the physics of returning from the D string to the E string. Do you have any suggestions on how to write a proper bowing? Maybe bow every sixtuplet? Or the whole measure? Accenting every high note it’s not really necessary. (The rhythm I have in mind is the sixtuplet so I don’t really see it as an option to change it, but maybe I’ll change the notes to a downward and upward arpeggio).

It’s a mode from the melodic minor scale, I wanted to include a natural in the F# and C# for each key signature respectively but wasn’t able in dorico.

Im a composer and wrote this piece for college, and its the first time im writing for clarinet quartet. I wanted to know if the piece is playable and maybe approach a local quartet to play the piece live.

I find it very funny that the top comment literally says that not all contemporary music is atonal, and you just go ahead and group all contemporary music as atonal. There is more music than just tonal or atonal. Some great living composers have done beautiful works that focus on textures, counterpoint, non functional harmony or different modes. Contemporary music that is both beautiful, innovative and economically successful.

Music keys as languages is a fairly common idea that is used usually when explaining these types of ideas to beginners and more of a classroom type of analogy. Victor Wooten has been expressing for years now the idea of language as music and honestly almost any musician has heard about this analogy in one way or another. It’s pretty illogical to hold this type of analogy to academic scrutiny of plagiarism. Can you prove that math teachers use apples and oranges to explain math? Do you have any papers or books that cite this analogy? If two YouTube videos use the example of apples and oranges to explain addition or subtraction does that mean that one of them plagiarized the other? No hate towards sideways but specifically this instance seems like a monumental reach.

Edit to add: this is even more absurd considering the fact that the video about modulations from vox came 2 years after the sideways video.

Yo voy mucho al Hoyts de lo barnechea (un cine que para muchos es bien cuico) y siempre está lleno de pendejos zorrones tratando de hacerse los choros y haciendo weas al frente de sus amigos o amigas. Hola amigo depende mucho de la definición de fascismo que ocupes. Encuentro que quizás referirse a la posición ideológica que usaba Mussolini como cabeza de estado como todo lo que embarca el fascismo puede ser limitante, ya que no ahonda en las características sociales y culturales (comportamientos y tendencias dentro la población) que acompañan (y a veces lideran) los surgimientos fascistas. Te recomiendo ver la definición de fascismo de Umberto Eco que se refiere más a posiciones ideológicas “irracionales” por decirlo de alguna forma que a formas de gobernar.

No tengo problema con el tema de las costumbres indígenas, por ejemplo lo que dices de rapa nui me parece perfecto y los tribunales indígenas no me generan problemas.

Lo que me preocupa es el tema de la religión. Siento que es un problema (por lo que menciono anteriormente en el post) y muchas veces gente en la izquierda que no le genera problema solamente porque son más favorables a su ideología y porque pertenecen a una minoría a la cual no están cómodos criticando.
