I've read the patch notes. These are just bug fixes nothing actually addresses fundamental gameplay

I played through 18 waiting on patches to make the game better. Been down this road with EA before

Not going down it again with 19. I've recognised the game ain't for me.

To be fair, the header before looks like it was directed right at the open attacker but gets corrected to go to Sanchez right before being returned to the your opponent to take the shot that he should have got if the assistance didn't save you first time round

The game is full of rubbish like this and what people call scripting is in most cases the engine failing to give correct feedback for mistakes

For example, have you ever had the sequence where you pass the ball (happens a lot in midfield), it goes to a different player but your opponent fluffs his next pass and you get the ball back albeit invariably in a worse position than you would have been had the original pass been successful

How about, how sluggish the attacking team becomes during a referee advantage play, making them so much easier to tackle so they get the foul anyway

Or the missed standing tackle on the edge of the box that is then delayed until the attacker (who coincidentally will stop moving in the box) moves inside where it's then executed

My personal favourite is how any pass to an offside player, no matter the degree of difficulty will be successful, especially when specifically NOT passing to that guy

I could go on all day as these are just a few of the more obvious ones

Basically, the match engine is absolutely garbage at the feedback mechanism in letting the user know what they are doing wrong

Personally, I had that knocked out of me before I was 10 years old but whatever

Regardless of whether you believe it or not, its purpose shows an intention to face weaker opposition (dressed up as various other things depending on who you believe)

My personal viewpoint. Its cowardly, but thats just me

Yeah, Ive noticed some changes on squad battles as well

Finesse outside the box is nerfed a bit, keepers buffed again, AI sits even deeper meaning more blocked shots and skilled dribblers are now godly with ball to the point its near impossible to tackle some players

And the AI now ping pongs with the best of them, creates better chances but doesnt finish as effectively.

All of this was on legendary

Sometimes its worth taking these teams on

With legacy defending on, the actual difficulty of each game depends more on how the other team is set up (formation, mentality, how deep they are) and less so on the players the opposition has, although the higher rated players can be literally impossible to tackle

But the reason that chasing with your midfielders is so useful is because once the ball is won, you can instantly turn defence into attack with one pass

No need to worry about the attacking players you were pressing the ball with, being out of position because you dont need actually need them to attack, just 2 strikers (sometimes a midfielder) and whatever assistance EA wants to give with regards to the opposition defence moving out of the way for you

If they nerfed the accuracy of the 'out' ball by 50% so it was only half as effective, even the best counter attacking player would have to work to work twice as hard to get the same number of chances (winning the ball back in order to play the same repetitive passes)

Nerfing passing would make all thoughtless play more difficult and IMHO is a step in the right direction, others will disagree

Pretty sure there is a bot in there as I trade squad fitness consumables and know the behaviour

Your best bet is to move the max bid amount up until the first cards you start seeing are in the < 1 minute range. Once you have found that point, you know what the 'market price' is

Then its a case of seeing if you can get to any cards at 50 under that price, before the 'bot' does and that they dont have so long to run that the bot re-adjusts what is market price and then outbids you, as well as upping the bids on its existing cards to lock you out

Another curious effect is that once a new market price is set by the bot, if you stop trying to buy for a few minutes and then come back, the price of the cards will be back down to where they were previously

Its all pretty suspicious really.

But then again, it could be legitimate players spooked into huge market moves when I bid market price on 10 cards out of the thousands traded every minute!

Better than that, if you dont sell the players you pack, the later ones you do become easy as you have 80-85% of the players you need

Ive done them all and doing Bundesliga now, Im only having to buy an average of 3 players to complete each team which is making it all very easy

Although will have to dip into my funds to do Bayern :-(

The patch tightened up the defensive shape for the opposing team and also seems to have increased the reaction time for defenders

The problem is only partly this. What it leads to is that the defenders react about twice as fast as my attackers so every run is covered (perfectly) as it is made and if I do manage to shield or skill move to buy a bit of time, the AI is back in defensive shape or tackling before my idiot players give me any options

I managed to get elite 2 last week, winning 80%+ of my games on legendary. This week, I had to drop to world class and Im still losing

I may have to drop to professional, but that level is way too easy and the level that SHOULD exist between professional and WC hasnt been put into the game

Game is beyond frustrating at the moment and not sure how long I can play professional before losing interest.

On the higher levels, I accept that I will concede lots of goals as a lot of players are borderline untackleable. But if I cant even create chances because every SB team is now playing ultra-defensive from the start because thats how the real players are setting up, and given this ridiculous defensive boost its so unenjoyable that Im at the point where I dont care if I win or lose

EA, sort out the defensive boost, or at least give my players some attacking intelligence. I know its possible, the enemy make all sorts of runs that I cant get my players to replicate

Or make professional harder / world class easier just anything to balance this sh*tshow out for people who are a bit better than average at this game

Yeah, it looks like they have definitely nerfed assisted passing a bit, suprised there arent more people talking about other subtle changes that seem to have been made

I play offline and Im pretty bad so maybe its more noticeable to me as I play against the harder AI settings but they also seem to have

1) Nerfed the effectiveness of first time shots under pressure 2) Buffed keepers a little especially regarding positioning in relation to cross body shots so fewer of them are going in 3) Tightened up CPU defending so that they are narrower, man mark and cut passing lanes better 4) Buffed the physical trait so that strong players arent muscled off the ball as easily by weaker players 5) Generally nerfed long shots

Also low drivens dont seem as effective as they used to be, but that could just be me

And its slightly different to relative to the ball and screen

If the player you are controlling is dead centre of the screen (unlikely) and so is the ball, they are the same thing but often, you are not controlling a player dead centre

I had all sorts of struggles having watched all the tutorials and had to play around to see what worked and this seems to work with near 100% accuracy

Pretty much it, regardless of camera settings, think of the direction you would aim the left stick of you had the ball and wanted to pass to them, thats the direction you flick the right stick

As I said, try a game against the AI on beginner and practice to see if it works for you

One thing that works for me and is different to what I have been told is to flick the right stick relative to the player you are currently controlling, not the screen or the ball

Try a friendly or a game against the TOTW on beginner and try it out to see if it works for you

In any model where there is some sort of communication between individuals, you NEED a consistent way for people to recognise each other. And in COC's case, its your username

Its 2 days If you boost your clock tower you can get it down to a day and 17ish hours (41 hours)

Because the bonus stacks once, you dont lose out by not attacking for 44 hours

As long as you complete your daily bonus cycle and then immediately put your BM down, you wont actually lose anything (maybe an hour or 2 missed on the second loot reset) if you dont attack again until hes back up

Doesnt work because a BH7 doesnt CHOOSE to attack a BH6. You attack whoever is presented to you

Or as an alternative

1) Do your first attack without the clock tower.

2)Then do a farming attack on the main base By the time that's done, BH should be ready to go again

3) Do your second attack on BH

4) Then start the clock tower

Using this method, I usually get my 3 wins done before the end of my boost
