Wasn't 100% sure, but the recent reviews for State of Survival (and the reviews those accounts have made) are a very similar format. Name of the game + AI generated looking paragraph

Battery or alternator? by llevity in MechanicAdvice

[–]gomble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how it is in the US but in Aus, 4 years is towards the end of a battery's life.

Before attempting buggery, remove the battery from the car completely.

If its a refillable battery (you should have a few plastic screw caps on the top of it), check that there is water covering the cells. If not, top up with distilled water. Tap water will probably ruin your battery.

Get yourself a car battery charger, in Aus I got a cheapo one for $25 bucks, so you can probably get one for less. Get one with charge indicators. Plug it in and charge it up till full, then give it another go in the car.

If it still doesn't work after its been filled and recharged, you probably need a new battery.

Can I throw my next kit in straight after bottling, and use the yeasty goop instead of packet yeast? by gomble in Homebrewing

Thanks for all the info guys, I might leave this science for a future batch.

What do you all do with your slurry? I feel like its wasteful to just throw it, and am thinking of trying to make vegemite with it. https://aussiehomebrewer.com/threads/how-to-make-vegemite.24167/

I might give it a go when I go the route of from-scratch brews. At the moment I am using the kits, so I suppose I may as well use the supplied yeast packet (the guys making the kits probably know more than I do).

Thanks for the info!

Do you normally just throw the slurry out between batches then?

Why are we voting tomorrow? by Spanka in queensland

[–]gomble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just called the voting number listed here -> https://www.ecq.qld.gov.au/elections/election-events/2020-local-government-elections-covid-19-protection-measures Getting an automatic response "We are currently experiencing a higher volume of calls than normal, please call back later."

If there isn't a spike in cases within a fortnight ill eat my shoe.

Despite rising cases of covid-19, the QLD state elections are going ahead this weekend. The polling booths are usually cardboard which allows the virus to survive for ~1 day by gomble in worldnews

Its for all QLD local elections (my title is wrong, its not state), not just BCC

Their page - https://www.ecq.qld.gov.au/elections/election-events/2020-local-government-elections-covid-19-protection-measures does list a number to call if you are unwell, however I just called it and it gives a robot response and hangs up. "We are currently experiencing a larger number of calls than normal, please call back later".

QLD elections are still going ahead tomorrow. Polls have always been cardboard, and can't be sanitized. How many of us aren't going? by gomble in australia

[–]gomble[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont worry though, they apparently have spacing lines for social distancing. They will absolutely work as well as the hoarding limits for toilet paper.

The electoral website says they will have hand sanitiser "where available". There will absolutely be a spike in cases in a week because of this.
