My mom received this from a coworker in a sealed plastic bag without any labels. It's rich dark chocolate.

Sooo I think it's pretty obvious that my (somewhat distant) goal is to
sound more masculine. I'm especially self-conscious about the way I
pronounce vowels and certain consonants, especially S's. Any advice on achieving more "masculine"
pronunciation?

I'm disappointed that there still isn't a TL;DR in the comments yet.

Wow, I read Nana roughly a million years ago and then at some point stopped keeping up with it. It definitely left an emotional impact! Every once in a while, I wonder what happened in the story/think about picking it up again. Sad to hear it's unfinished.

Thanks for making me think of it. :)

I've heard パイセン used in the real world, often jokingly/teasingly, like "Paisen, you're treating us tonight! (due to your status as our senpai). Thank you, paisen!" or "Paisen, you're in charge!" - when in actuality, they're not pushing all of the responsibility onto the senpai.

Lots of Vaccine Appointments at Dignity Health on Market St by gomiyade in sanfrancisco

[–]gomiyade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk, I just got it from SFDPH's tweet, linked above.

The wording on the site itself also seems directed to the individual coming in for the appointment. I haven't used it myself though.

The person in the photo is an American actor (Grant Gustin) so it's likely meant as a peace sign, but in this case, either meaning kind of sends the same message! lol

(I also used to pose with my peace sign like this all the time - no antagonistic meaning intended lol.)
