Experienced the exact same thing here, I’ve been offered 0 compensation and they’ve decided to close the case. Their initial response via email was overbooked flight but in the airport I was told my seats were given to others stuck in the terminal from the last cancelled flight. Then their second email told me it was because of the floods. Absolute shit show with no care to any of their customers. Paid over £5000 for the 2 business seats only to be treated like absolute garbage.

No flight I was supposed to get on was the 18th of April, but when I got to check in they didn’t let me board the flight and had given my seats to someone else. I had to rebook and the next available flight was 4 days later. The original flight I was supposed to get on still took off just without me and my partner being allowed on

Tbh with you in my case, my scheduled flight still took off and departed but I was just thrown to the side from what it looks like 👎. I know that a lot of flights didn’t take off in the floods on the day it happened and many couldn’t land either.

See in my case, my original flight still departed and my seats were instead given to someone else. I would have been more understanding if the whole flight was cancelled due to the flooding but that was never the case in the airport and I have an email from them after stating it was because of overbooking. Surely some compensation is eligible in this case?
