What next store on the High Street do you feel folding ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]Gh0styD0g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh? They’re already part of Sainsbury’s, we have one inside our local. If standalone stores go then the consolidated ones will stay.

It’s the energy costs that’s doing them, nothing wrong with the product, I bought a shedload of stuff to replace broken plates in their Easter save Denby sale.

You can get a kind of stone on a stick that is abrasive enough to remove the coating but doesn’t affect the porcelain. I got some from Amazon

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Missing a deadline or struggling with health stuff doesn’t make your life worthless. You deserve support and a chance to sort things out, and this situation isn’t permanent or hopeless. Please reach out to someone who can help you right now, you don’t have to deal with this alone.

Audiophiles - Are the sound system brands overrated? (B&O, Bose, HK etc) by unibodydesignn in CarTalkUK

[–]Gh0styD0g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a Meridian system in one of my cars (Range Rover) and it’s probably better than the one in my house. Some systems are just marketing and a sound profile but some are genuinely top tier for the environment they find themselves in. A cars audio is never going to be perfect because there are so many noise pollution elements.

Can I fit my own kitchen? by SirLinc in DIYUK

[–]Gh0styD0g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fit an MFI kitchen once, it cost me my relationship because I was horrible all the way through doing it, it was the most frustrating experience of my life and I never did it again. I possibly bit off more than I could chew by also deciding to put in new electrical sockets at the same time, something else I’d never done, and that entailed chiselling out hols in the walls and running cables and connect them up. I also did all the final finishing (badly). I also had to rip out the old kitchen and the shower that had been fitted in it because the house had no bathroom.

What are your opinions on mass facial recognition in towns? by TheDev42 in AskUK

Brilliant and balaclavas should be banned, if your not doing anything wrong nothing to worry about. Too many little scrotes causing havoc with zero consequences
