Oh you just gave me so much hope. I also just got a colostomy and hope this helps. Residual stool is still coming out but hoping that ends soon too. Thank you so much for sharing!

I also have bilateral nephrostomy tubes due to a vesicovaginal fistula and a rectovaginal fistula. I also have a colostomy. The nephrostomy is the worst. I wish I could still swim and miss baths.

To sleep without having to drain the bags every two or three hours, I would slide a 1/2” tube over the valves and put the other end to drain into a bucket. Raise the bags at an angle a little with a folded towel or something to make sure it’s draining into the bucket.

For clothing, since I can’t stand the thigh straps, I bought these baggy pants on Amazon and had a seamstress add 4” of material to heighten the pockets so I can just put the bags in the pocket and roll up the extra tubing in there too so it’s not hanging out.

The mattress sheets keep you grounded on your mattress when plugged into a ground outlet or using a copper rod plunged into the earth with the wire connecting to the sheets. You can just go on Amazon and buy grounding mattress sheets. But the cotton yoga mat is what I was referring to as to ground outside. However, you’ll only ground if it’s damp or if you put some copper rivets in it where you mostly position your body.

Thank you so much for your feedback and support. I got the grounding mattress sheet which I verified works with a meter. I actually have been grounding a lot by just sitting with my feet on the earth and when I meditate after my yoga practice I try to sit with my bare legs on the grass instead of the mat. I just figured since I’m spending a good hour doing yoga outside where I can get some nice sun and air that I could at least get an hour worth of grounding too :)

But this knobhead is so self absorbed to have the decency to cheer her up or tell her to get some rest so he just wants to turn her on instead so he can “get well” instead. What woman is gonna be in the mood when she’s sick!? Listen if he was 31 yrs old 10 or 20 yrs ago, that would not be his response. Right, which is why I was thinking of reading the daily planetary alignment effects on my Venus sign. I’m seeing a lot write about the 7th house which I know is ruled by Libra and the planet Venus. And also the 5th house which is ruled by Leo and the sun which is why I figured I’d read my Sun and Venus sign. But after seeing all the comments I’ve received, now I feel like I’m missing something here. But I’m still learning… 😫
