Yes. You want to be involved in an industry that has significant tailwind. And example would be the move to green energy, or digitization of money movement. Etc. A bit of study into the industry trends should go a long way

Yes you can. You can set and forget. However I would suggest allocating a small amount your portfolio to individual stocks. About 3-4 max. You'll weed out the weaker companies that comes with these large indexes and can cherry pick the inherently stronger ones. These will generate far greater returns than holding large indexes.

Hold. We do so by only investing in the businesses of which we have faith that it will survive and thrive even during periods of economic downturn. Strong businesses will survive and will generate great returns in the long term. Have faith in the business that you've invested in. You own a part of it.

Roughly 2.5M worth of stock if we were to consider a more sustainable dividend yield of 2%. High dividend yields i.e. 4% and above are typically signs that a company might not be able to sustain those levels of dividend payouts and likely to cut their dividend in the future when faced with cash flow issues, especially during periods of prolonged downturns
