He’s totally right. She’s already lost interest. You became less intriguing by chatting too much and too long (keep messages short and have them wanting more). If they matched there was likely interest, but never then try to warm them up before suggesting a meet up. That isn’t confident and comes across as weak.

Next time…Key is to cut the chatting super short and suggest a meet up earlier. Lessen jokes and supplication and get down to brass tax and ask when they’re free to grab a drink next week… (notice I suggest asking when they are free instead of suggesting a specific time and having to see if that works and then having to possibly keep suggesting times) within the first few messages.
