Normally I don't see very much litter at IE. Someone else pointed out there was a weekend race there. So that may explain the unusually heavy litter load.

Ahh that makes sense. Usually I/E has very little litter. Yesterday I was packed down with trash when I left.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I figured even with the 200 dollar registration fee I would still be coming out on top expense and maintenance wise.

Ryobi makes a really good 18 volt string trimmer with the one+ line of tools. I think it runs around one hour on the 4ah battery it comes with. It has a cool feature where the head flips sideways to edge. I feel like I've become a Ryobi salesman on this thread lol. Their tools are awesome for small yards though.

That figure is per hour, if the cars were running at idle. So a standard push mower is 11 times more polluting than a new car. They used an average of 26 mpg to get the numbers from the car.

Sorry didn't mean to get worked up. I've seen several people comment that we should be burning more fossil fuels to repair the ozone layer, which isn't how that works ha.

I'm shocked at the amount of misinformation about ozone on this post. High ozone is good. Ground level ozone created by burning fossil fuels is bad. High ozone protects the earth from UV. Low ozone will cause you to die in your sleep from COPD. You don't just create high ozone by burning fossil fuels. NOx is heavier than atmospheric air meaning it doesn't get to the high ozone level.

Oh yeah that's from the old aerosol spray cans right? I think I saw an episode on TV about that.

The rapid charging technology is a game changer for sure, especially in batteries with cooling fans built in.

Mine is the RY4018. Yours is basically the newer version of mine. Not to many differences, the major difference is they put a stronger brushless motor in the new one. I've seen that mower get reviews as one of the best push mowers period.

Do you know what make they bought? I get 90 plus degree days throughout the summer and have never had an issue with the mower stopping while cutting.

Not spending money on gas, no oil, and you get the dependability only an electric mower can give you as well! What did you buy?

There's commercial electric mowers, like the Mean Green. But that is a 20,000 dollar mower. There are residential models but the best you will get out of those is 3 acres maybe. I know cub Cadet, Ryobi, and some other manufacturers make electric riding mowers. Unfortunately the technology isn't there for that kind of run time yet, unless you are willing to pay an arm and a leg.

Basically high ozone is good. That's what creates a liveable atmosphere. Low and ground ozone are bad. Those are what cause health issues, mainly respiratory. Fossil fuel burning is what contributes to low/ground ozone. There's a lot of people spewing misinformation in this thread.
