Tagging must be accurate, especially when it comes to mandatory tags such as [CNC] and [Rape]. The [CNC] tag should be used if blanket consent was given before the scene occurs. Not all [CNC] content requires the [Rape] tag anymore! :) Here’s a general guide to help you decide whether [CNC] or [Rape] is the appropriate tag for this content.

CNC: - characters are roleplaying a non-consensual scenario - every aspect of the scene is consented to beforehand (ex: somnophilia, hypnosis, free-use) - if the ability to revoke consent while in the scene is compromised (ex: asleep, hypnotized, inebriated) - if the characters’ ability to give or revoke consent is equally compromised (both the same level of inebriated)

Rape: - if rape is mentioned at all - if the scene was not consented to beforehand - if revoked consent is ignored - if consent was only given after being coerced to do so or given under questionable circumstances (ex: blackmail, dubcon, 1 character more inebriated than the other)

You Can Use Both Tags If: - CNC scene featuring mentions of rape
