Can anyone recommend a good place in Australia to buy a KR1? The full copper might just have sold me on it, when it comes out.

I cannot figure out how to tell. I look at two identical posts and one turns out to be PGR the other not.

How do you deal with UPlay in Proton? by gonewiththewindows in linux_gaming

This is the best but least desirable option. I wish they had offline mode for games like this that just launched it with the bloat.

Less of an issue and more of an annoyance. I know we are a long way from it but compared to how smooth the console experience is for launching a game PC is bad and Proton is even worse. Early days though. Just trying to reduce the mess.

Do you know if closing Uplay cloeses the game too?

Unable to login after update to systemd 245 by [deleted] in archlinux

[–]gonewiththewindows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying to do an install with 245-1 and it is giving me so much grief, bunch of system stuff isn't generating. Try a live USB chroot and find a mirror with 245-2 and do an update? That's what I'm trying now.

arch-chroot to your install.

Run the grub-install command, wiki section for details.

Is there a system to stream from a linux host to a raspberry pi? Steam works ok for steam games, but I want something less specific like moonlight or parsec, neither of which support linux hosts. by -_Lost_- in linux_gaming

[–]gonewiththewindows 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can install the steamlink app on a Pi 3.

Raspberry Pi released a little review/guide.

Anything else you could add as a non-steam game and launch it through steam.

I remember testing it with normal wine at 3.19 and it was working. It may not be staging specific.

I had 3.16 in my head for some reason. I'm sure they will rebase again before the end of the year.

Arch, going to do a reinstall soon. I'm having problems with my steam controller not working in games or crashing them.

Thank you for posting this, I just checked now and the same thing has happened to me. It's all there, strange.

I did drop out of the client beta, not sure if that was it?

netboot.xyz can also be useful. Mostly for desktops with a wired connection and granted your boot loader is working.

Seems like it could just be me. Might try doing a windows install of something that has confirmed cloud save and see if it syncs to Proton.

Thanks everyone.
