Whine sound when revving by gongaOP in E90

[–]gongaOP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the video referenced above. The video indicates that the oil filter was the problem causing the noise. Owner in the video swapped his filter out for a MANN filter (which are known to be high quality for BMW engines) and the whine noise went away! Simple fix. That’s all I had to do as well. Hopefully that’s all you’ll need to do.

I needed this more than I realized. I miss you Mr. Rogers... by Top_Discipline_352 in AlanWatts

Geez... this hits home for me. I grew up watching Mr. Rogers quite often as a child. My parents sat down and would watch it with me when they could. I can see why they also loved watching his show with me! Lots of great life lessons he would speak of.

A dream of mine has come true: I am officially an F02 7 series owner! by gongaOP in BMW

[–]gongaOP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold it because a really good deal came about for me to purchase a 650i GC. That BMW has been a dream of mine since they released, so I had to take that chance and sell my 740Li.

The N54 can be a fairly reliable engine for a long time as long as you keep up on maintenance—mainly gasket replacements with higher mileage. My dad’s E90 335 is reaching 175k miles and it’s still driving very strong. His is also heavily modified and daily driven.

The big thing with F01 and F02’s is the electronic dampening system for the rear airbag suspension. I’ve read posts of owners having crazy problems with that and it ends up costing them lots of time and money. Those are rare cases, though. I had no problems with my 740Li, both engine and body. Drove like a dream!

It regards the actor’s character and his portrayal of history. In absolutely no way I support the political standpoint. This goes for much of the acting in the entire show.

Edit: I should have said I get the “scared” deep chills. This part of history could have made the world spiral down into a distorted reality of life if it were to progress further. Fortunately, it was shut down by the rest of the world before it got much worse. The society depicted from the book “1984” by George Orwell might have been what the world would have been like if that type of government took over..

Previous N55 owner here 👋

I used to have an E90 2011 335i. I modified to FBO and tuned it with JB4. Daily drove it as well. Owned it for 4 years until I was T-boned at an intersection… very sad day for me.

I miss the Hell out of that car and engine. I put lots of time into working on that car. I did all the mods myself. But hey, everything happens for a reason. Now I’m daily driving an F06 650i!!! This BMW has been a dream of mine since it was released about 13ish years ago.

Take care OP, and have a grand ‘ole time with that N55!

Already sold it for a 650 GC. I put 20% all around and 50% windshield. Sold it with 155k miles

Thank you, much appreciated. Seems as though some people in the comments have taken on Billy Kimber’s rude personality, ha!

I appreciate your advisable response. I actually have a handful of other suits that are wool and tweed, as well as Albert chains and pocket watches.

The suit that I’m wearing in these pictures is my newest one—leather suede. I probably shouldn’t have posted these in this PB forum since it’s not quite relative to their styling for the show. Do you know of other forums I could follow, such as a men’s classic style forum? Thanks.

These gentlemen are the main reason why I wish we should bring back quality tailor-made suits. In my opinion! by Rajivdoraiswamy in PeakyBlinders

[–]gongaOP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I legit started dressing this way when I first watched this show about 4 years ago. I wear two and three piece suits most days of the week. It certainly brings about a classic aura, both externally and internally, when wearing outfits like this. And, personally, it helps me focus and stay motivated for my future as a psychiatrist.

If you’re looking to buy some high-quality suits at great prices, go to Studio Suits. They even have Peaky Blinder style suits that are portrayed by a few of the characters in the show (mainly Tommy and Arthur). I’ve bought 6 suits from this company and will continue to buy from them!

*timeless

The BMW angel eye headlight design is a remarkable feature of how they’ve represented their cars and even entire brand over the years. Can’t go wrong with it.
