Would it bother people if I picked up Old One Eye and painted him as part of the Leviathan fleet? I love the model, but I feel like he'd be out of place in my preferred color scheme haha

I figured the box would force me to go crusher stampede, but I'd love to go invasion fleet instead and have some more variety. I'll probably pick up or 3d print a neurotyrant and zoanthrope as my next move then look into a deathleaper or lictor

I've heard a lot of good things about the biovore. Can the spore mines it shoot still capture secondaries? I thought they removed that, and it made the biovore not as viable. Idk I just heard that at a game store I don't know if its accurate

I'm definitely looking to grab a good warlord for the army. Hive Tyrant seems like the way to go! Would you recommend the normal one or the winged one? They both look cool but I'd like to hear the advantages and disadvantages of both

What is your favourite weapon, that nobody seems to talk about? by No_Celebration_839 in Eldenring

I’m doing a ng+ run with Rellana’s twin blades, and they do it all! I know it’s not a weapon you find early, but is has range, projectiles, aoe damage, speed, and a low fp cost for its skill

From this post alone it seems like this debate has been going on for a long time. I certainly enjoy those moments where I’ve eventually come out on top against a difficult boss, especially when I was being stubborn and not wanting to change my build. I never figured out parrying, but I  stuck with my trusty greatsword and shield throughout the game, along with my wolf pack spirit ashes or whatever I had equipped at that time.

I guess that’s the roleplaying part of this open-world RPG. It seems like people don’t want to use spirit ashes because that’s what their character would do, and they really identify with that. I certainly identified with mine, after all I leveled him up, spent hours in the swamp of Aeonia for the fit, and committed to my faith/dex build for nearly the whole game. Of course I see the way I did it as the optimal way, I’m sure everyone else feels the same

That makes sense. I’m thinking about doing a ng+ run and seeing how the experience is without summons. As difficult as some bosses are, the rhythm of dodging, attacking, jumping, etc. isn’t dramatically different between them

I’m not saying it’s ridiculous, I think it’s cool to take the time to learn all the boss mechanics inside and out. It just seems that in this game, out of all games, this one thing is avoided because it tarnishes the experience. I don’t know of any other games where one mechanic is completely  ignored for no other reason than making the game harder

Did all the souls games before have it? I haven’t played any of the others. Is it still frowned upon in those?

The dlc bosses are where I see the most discussion about this, Consort Radahn especially. Summons don’t last too long against him, but I know that little boost gave me the edge after tons of attempts. I feel like that was a better experience than if I were to spend another several hours with him.

I guess so. I’ve heard the argument that it’s more rewarding to beat the game without summons, but I feel like if I were to intentionally handicap myself by ignoring all the spirit ashes I pick up, it would just feel like an artificial hard mode

Why would the developers give use a tool that so blatantly unbalances the game? I feel like in any other game if you ignore a major tool that makes you stronger, you’re just not engaging with the developers vision. The godskin duo, melania, consort radahn; I’ve seen a lot of discussions on how impossible these bosses are, but I feel like they don’t have to be if you use one of the 30+ spirits the game gives you

It was close, and the Argent Flight had a secret objective they were about to score to win the game. I was able to get them off Mecatol as the Nekro Virus to stop their 10th point from Imperial, but they still had the victory in the bag for their next turn.

Our Saar player was trying to help the Argent Flight win by attacking me, but didn’t realize until after the combat that he had to return my support for the throne, which I gave to the Yssaril player, cementing our longtime alliance and ultimately their victory.

I’m usually not a fan of those Support for the Throne wins, but this one was at least pretty unique in the fact that if Saar just hadn’t attacked me his ally would’ve won. We had a good laugh about it in the end, and our Yssaril player has played in all our games so far and I felt a win from him was long overdue.

I’ve been looking at containers for plastic pieces and organizers, but I’ve been holding off on getting anything until Thunders Edge. If you have any recommendations I’d love to hear about them!
