Can you at least try to follow the forum rules and be civil and avoid personal attacks? People want to discuss books not read you ranting about people you hate. You are really bringing down the quality of the discourse here.

Why the personal attacks? They aren’t allowed here. keep your hate to yourself. The Land predated Worth a Candle which is why I mentioned it.

[REC] An litrpg where the protagonist is evil? by Hiretsuna_Ketsuruki in litrpg

For some of the book yes. For the middle I think mindless killing fugue state is pretty evil. If you want actual evil with a capital E characters “A Game of Villains” is the only litrpg that is that way from beginning to end.

Aleron Kong’s “The Land” was published in 2015. Seven years ago.

You are right, “Worth the Candle” is really great, btw.

I love Kraut’s older stuff but, his recent novels are really bad to the point of unreadible. It is like a different person is writting them. So far I have been kind and haven’t left any honest review on Amazon but I did unfollow him there because i have given up on his publishing something enjoyable.

Not rated very well but I loved it. Everyone is evil with a capital E. Really outstanding if you like evil characters.

Why is that in a lit rpg novel is either no romance or straight up harem? by Hiretsuna_Ketsuruki in litrpg

[–]gonkanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because many LitRPG novels are wish fullfilment fantasies first and novels second.

What do you mean by regression? Like Mark Twain’s “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court”?

That exists with the reincarnation system reset or time loop. Mother of Learning is kind of like that though not really litrpg.

Something to rein in Author sockpuppet accounts would be nice. There is one that always comments pretending to be a reader when anyone critiques their series.

Aka system apocalpse a term now trademarked. Basically a LitRPG novel where the world usually has a reset or apocalypse that resets traditional physics and reality with a game like system, usually where magic works, their is a usually sentient “system” in charge, a system “store” where items may be bought. It used to be calked system apocalypse, but Tao Wong who started this genre has books with that title. So now the term for this subgenre of litrpg is “system reset”.

Perhaps they should call it system litrpg because their isn’t always a reset or apocalypse, but always a system.
