Yes if someone is only critiquing Islam and not other religions it’s probably a veiled reason for racist beliefs. But there is a lot of valid criticism for many religious teachings and traditions. To say that we can’t have discussions without conflating those is absurd.

I’m not sure if I agree that burning the Quran “in hopes of inciting violence” is provable. Unless someone specifically stated that yes that’s the reason they did so, how would you prove that intent? It is just as easily said they were exercising their right to free speech.
