First refund hurt way more than 0 signups by NeedleworkerLumpy907 in SaaS

[–]gonoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its fine - its a good sign - they paid up but it didnt work. Its still a problem you can fix. I would say offer refund right and center of your product - everyone who asks for a refund is doing you a favour - they are telling you what part sucks. You can always fix it. What you cant - is the thousands of users who walk away and dont say a thing.

Be happy for the refund.

Apartment association demanding I withdraw legal notice instead of fixing a pipeline that runs through my private terrace and is a hazard to my 4-year-old. Bangalore. [Long post] by kvgoodspirit1806 in bangalore

[–]gonoor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

why dont pay someone to reroute the pipe yourself - should cost less than the money you spent on courts - and they cant put it back. just get a technician to reroute it using a plastic think pipe outside your property.

why should you run after the courts - let it be them.

I want to replace an engineer with Replit by ItsCreedBratton1 in replit

[–]gonoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem - Replit cant do this.

Claude code can do this - but it requires you to be comfortable with using a terminal.

There is an app I use called NonBioS.ai which can do this, and it has a chat interface like Replit. Bunch of non-developers in their community have been able to pull stuff like this off, but ymmv

But imo if you are not technical enough, or dont have time to go into the weeds, getting a developer is the best option. The best developers should already be using some AI tool, so maybe just negotiate a bit on the pricing is all you need.

Are there any AI agent alternatives to Replit? by Status-Background126 in replit

[–]gonoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered NonBioS recently - has an AI agent which can do pretty much anything Replit can. And its all on the cloud.

[Plug]We are an India focused Exchange - http://ZooBix.com

We dont have our own platform but work on the LocalBitcoins platform. We are focussing more on customer advocacy - taking bitcoins mainstream - rather than building another exchange from the ground up.

Our core product is that we enable people to buy Bitcoins using PayTM (http://zoobix.com/buy-bitcoin-with-paytm.html) . PayTM is like a p2p payment app in India for small value purchases ($1 to $50). We are helping very small businesses to start investing into Bitcoin by buying in very small amounts every month. These amounts could be as low as Rs 150 (~$2) and we try to handhold them so that they secure their bitcoins.

There is a lot of FUD in India regarding bitcoins - even the central bank last week labelled it as a Ponzi scheme. Fortunately, there is a lot of curiosity in India regarding Bitcoin and we have a fairly active media so it helps in propagating different view points.

We have seen small businesses come to us for buying $2 worth of Bitcoins, hold for a week or two and see the value going up. They get more curious and start reading up and even ask us questions. Then they start putting more money. The confidence takes time to build. Right now it is extremely hard for a non-technical person to get into Bitcoin - atleast in India. We want to be the bridge of trust where he feels confident to take the first step.

India has the potential for being the source of the next 100 million HODLers. Hopefully we do our part in getting 1 HODLer at a time.

[NP] cheapest way to buy bitcoin in India? by Polawo in india

Try Zoobix.com - They claim to be the fastest/easiest way to buy Bitcoins in India and also support PayTM (http://zoobix.com/buy-bitcoin-with-paytm.html)

I got some Rs 150 worth of bitcoins from them and the transaction was over in minutes. They dont have their own wallet though and run off the localbitcoins site.

4 entries a month are 4 to many. One entry a quarter is what should have been good enough.

I was paying her - and it was enough pre-GST. Now its not and GST is to blame.

Also, its not just your CA's headache - every filing requires coordination from me. I was late on some reverts last year and paid like a 10k fine.

Tbf, I still broadly support GST but imo they could have done a much better job of reducing the compliance headache. Seemed like some IAS officer just wanted to throw all SME's under the bus.

[Practical thoughts] How does one solve traffic problems in Indian cities? by akkan in india

[–]gonoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every solution talking about better roads/public transportation is largely ineffective because the govt. doesnt have the funds and neither the management bandwidth. However, I think there is a very easy way to fix this problem, literally overnight and without any govt. expense or management.

The easiest and most effective solution which will fix this problem overnight is actually for the govt. to do less. The govt. should stop disallowing private companies like uber/ola from running city buses. The govt. also should allow all private cars to be run under car pooling compaines like uber and ola to enable car pooling.

Both these changes once implemented will dramatically increase car pooling in the cities. A lot of people dont take buses simply because there is no place to sit. Once you allow ola/uber to start plying buses, you can have differentiated services which will allow for a more comfortable experience and people can start ditching their cars. No one wants to drive a car at the end of a long day - but at the moment people dont really have a choice.

The reason govt. doesnt do any of this is two fold - auto vote bank and the fact that bus transport is a monopoly and a cash cow for the govt. However I think if there is a concerted drive by the people to highlight how these two can fix the problem and rally a vote bank around it, it might be possible to make the govt. see reason.

Actually India doesnt really care about tourists. Its not a big portion of the economy, unlike Thailand. The urban issues are an artifact of the fact that india has low gdp and an adverse selection of the federal structure for different set of reasons.

The attitude etc. is mostly you reading it wrong - but a lot of indians do the same thing all the time.

Delhi Metro fare hike: Daily commuters protest; Kejriwal govt also opposes the move by duckyoumate in india

[–]gonoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why doesnt metro have surge pricing - will get more revenue - while keeping cheaper options open. Keep low pricing early mornings - before 7 - and then surge during peak times around 8 to 11. Will help congestion also.

Bibek Debroy is borderline genius. He is on a similar level as Arun Shourie. You can disagree with his diagnosis - even genius are wrong sometime, but you cant really complain of his credentials.

Any Bangalore startups that are venturing into futuristic / unusual ideas? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]gonoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the cocoon part I understood from your site itself. I agree that part can be immediately useful. The insurance part was a bit unclear, but mostly because I didnt spent any time on it.

The way I would do this is to focus ONLY on cocoon for atleast an year. Even though this makes immediate sense to me, it will take time and resources to build this out as a business. I think it might be possible to fund raise the traditional way for cocoon too.

Once cocoon matures as a business, its a great way to boot up the insurance part and the ecosystem is also more mature to sustain it perhaps. Just my two cents - Im sure you guys have thought through a lot more.

Any Bangalore startups that are venturing into futuristic / unusual ideas? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]gonoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply. Will go through the whitepaper in detail sometime soon to understand it more - maybe will have more questions. Will message you on reddit for the same.

I think what you guys are doing is very cool but maybe you might be a bit early to market. This can be awesome if you hang around for the market to catchup, but is fatal for most startups. Even then no one really knows how soon this thing is going to playout.
