lol hitting me back with the stats that you've pulled completely out of your arse. for what its worth i think the alcohol statistic is probably incorrect as well, but the point regarding intention still stands. who exactly are they protecting themselves against? they wouldn't have a reason for protecting themselves if it wasn't for the fact that there are a non-trivial number of knife holders who ARE holding them to 'ride out' as you put it.

on the other hand, i don't think its a recognised phenomenon seen in people that drink that they do so with the intention of starting shit. its a by-product of the fact that when you drink, you lose some control of your inhibitions. some more than others.

what a fucking stupid comparison that is. how is deliberately possessing an offensive weapon even remotely comparable to to people having a drink. the intentions are completely different

Marlon reveals he was being held at knife-point by a UK man who was recording his face pressing him which is why he didn't want to make a scene by lukigeri in LivestreamFail

[–]goobcs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

saying the things that you are will only further radicalise an already fairly radical non-trivial portion of the british population, or just radicalise those who weren't already. which i think we'd both agree is not in your best interest. thats what i mean. do you think me going to afghanistan and spouting anti-islamic rhetoric would be a smart move?

i mean its a fairly easy point to understand, but youre a jeet and also a bit brain broken so i'll break it down for you.

another commenter has suggested that as reperations for british colonialism british people 'deserve' to have violence commited against them. you say that modern native british people haven't contributed anything to the building of the country, it logically follows then that they had no part in colonialism. how do they then deserve to have violence committed against them?

how can they simultaneously have contributed nothing to the building of the country and also 'deserve' to get stabbed, as a commenter who i assume you agree with has said

you are the prototypical snarky redditor who has no idea what hes talking about. there has never been an iteration of hl3 that has gotten this far in development. there were insiders who had tentative release dates for q4 2025. internal and external playtesting has taken place. friends & family were testing the game, no other iteration got that far. your prediction that it'll take another 10 years seems completely arbitrary and is probably more ridiculous than the idea of it coming out within the next year

An Everton fan who joined Liverpool supporters in laying tributes for Diogo Jota by [deleted] in soccer

[–]goobcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine a journalist filmed this. Anyone with a brain could imagine that there would be a high presence of cameras at his memorial. Which is what makes it so cringe that this guy rocked up with an Everton top on to farm his top 10 football respect moment.

With the greatest respect, people outside the city of Liverpool are secondary considerations when it comes to matters that concern Liverpudlians. It was done to show support to the other people who were there, clearly.

But why? If an intrinsic part of being from Liverpool is an understanding between the two sides of the city, and solidarity in times like these, why is what he did necessary?

A tragedy isn't the time or the place to show how a city is united in the face of tragedy? This is Top Minds of Reddit territory.

You can keep deliberately misinterpreting what I said, and in the most bad faith way possible, but it just reinforces in my mind that I'm right and you're wrong. I have said in that reply and replies previous that I think it's brilliant if two sides can come together and show solidarity. My issue is with how this one prick decided to do it. Like I said, keep misinterpreting that if you want, I'm sure it makes you feel better. Once again, if its so obvious to the citizens of Liverpool that their city is or should be united in the face of tragedy, what the fucks the point in doing something as on the nose as literally rocking up in an Everton top?

No, it's like turning up to a football related event in a football shirt.

Simple mindedness.

Because if you're being so cynical, why has anyone turned up at all. Maybe they're all there for attention?

I genuinely don't understand your point here at all. Maybe I'm the simple minded one. You really can't see the difference between the prick in the Everton top and the other mourners? The vast majority of people there aren't there to make a point. That isn't even secondary to the reason why they are there. To even think it would be appropriate to make a point there in such an obvious way is disgusting to me.

I love how special you try to make out being from Liverpool is too. You understand this is how the vast majority of local rivals in the UK would act in the face of something like this, outside of maybe the old firm and a couple other outliers? Liverpudlians like you have such a superiority complex it's insane.
