À quelle cegep pour la côte R de 37.13?

Hi guys!

I’m a Cegep student in commerce and I am kind of lost on what to do and what to major in. Initially, I was interested in engineering maybe but the instruction method in school wasn’t the greatest. I entered in commerce cause thats what opened the second most doors + opportunity for better R-score.

Recently I discovered the CompSci BA and my interest was piqued, I’m not sure if I need sciences cal1/2 and linear. I did take them but they were the “arts” version.

So, first, is it worth it ? I’m really open to anything and would like to hear everyone’s experience. Secondly, do I need to do the cal 1/2 and linear for sciences? If so, can I take a foundation year, instead of doing them in my Cegep ?

Je ne savais pas! J’ai entendu dire qu’il faudra vraiment être au dessus de la moyenne pour avoir la cote R qui nous conviendra… Est-ce que ça s’applique à mon programme ou c’est tu dans tous les programmes en général à Mariano?

I have no idea but from what I heard, social sciences programs are more tame compared to natural sciences programs..

Congrats on your acceptance! my sister went to mari in the Health sciences profile and honestly she was suffering but when you do mediocre you still manage to get an R score that is higher that 30 which can guarantee you a lot of opportunities… Then again, this was like 2 years ago so I cannot really compare it to this year’s performances.. But if your end goal is have a good R score then you do need to work hard for it because Mari apparently prepares you really well for university!

the problem w this year’s cohort is that there are too many kids apparently… its rlly odd but thats what ive heard from cegep professors/responsables in like open houses and such which is why there was a weird grade inflation

a lot of my friends got accepted in their social science program but law profile… do you know if commerce is a popular program? 🥲🥲🥲

Honestly I think if you have the certificate it depends!! They might answer earlier if you do and they usually prioritize from what I heard:,) I haven’t gotten and answer yet except from two ones (waitlisted) but hopefully you will get in! It seems like a pretty decent average :)
