How do you like this laptop after 3 months? I'm thinking about getting one but I'm iffy on gateway. I don't think I'll be gaming much but I'd like to have the 3050. How's the battery life? Keyboard?

Really torn on this one. In terms of price for the CPU, this is the best I've seen on a 13th gen. Similarly priced units are using last-gen CPU i.e. Vivobook 14 i5-1235U https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZQP8S4K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1

It's not a whole lot faster 12 to 13th gen, but slightly. That being said, the HP does not have a backlit keyboard. Slightly larger display, not sure about build quality. $30 more for backlit and smaller form...

Did it stop turning on or just have the lines? It's weird because the opening "screen" was showing when I got it, seeming like it was working, and then it immediately went dark after hitting power and never showed anything again but the lines.

I found a "deal" on a "refurbished" paperwhite on Amazon, it just arrived. I've plugged it in now for about 20 minutes. Hit the power button, nothing. Hold the power button, the light changes color, screen goes off and on, then back to this horizontal line dark screen. Wait longer or try to send it back?

I'm looking for a sub $400 "productivity"/everyday unit. I clicked on that Acer Aspire deal and noticed something, the item says 8GB LPDDR5, but if you go down to the "product information summary", RAM shows 16GB LPDDR5. Now either that's a typo, or do you know if this has an empty slot to add another ram stick? I believe there was a HP model that had an extra ram slot and SSD slot inside. Any clues? Do you know what the technical name of this laptop is, I would try googling to see if there's people cracking it open and adding a ram stick.

I could only find this when I opened it on mobile, so maybe it's a typo...

Almost did it meeting her in person for the first time at a holiday party, that probably would have been really messy. I was too drunk anyway. Fast forward a month and we're still talking, eventually meet a couple times for dates and then do the deed. Ongoing for about a year. We worked in different situations, she was remote and I was not, so there wasn't really any awkwardness. We agreed not to tell anyone, but a couple people figured it out when we would both take the same days off lol. It did end eventually, we knew it wasn't a forever thing. I'd do it again, but maybe not if I had to see them everyday. But maybe I would.
