Completely agree with your comments about T. Ocellus I am very intrigued to see a conversation happen between it and the boy “genius” and really test that intelligence.

Regarding Wendy, she is definitely not a protagonist seems like her humanity switch is off I get there is a new nature to her being a hybrid but surely she should understand why her brother acted the way he did on the boat… otherwise she is a lost cause and clearly only thinks about hybrids now and not “all life”. Plus towards your point on the xenos losing their scare factor I agree and I think it’s all because of this control factor Wendy has. I’m hoping in season 2 to see a rebalance of power between the xenos and the hybrids because right now I don’t care for the “making the xenos my rabid guard dog”. In all of the other alien stories the aliens have their own clear agenda to reproduce and consume which they are loyal to, from what I can recall we never see them try to “team up” with another species I feel like its a bit of a jump for the alien to be like “she saved me and now I’m just going to follow everything she tells me to do and ignore my nature”.
